AB7s really need to up the brains level if they want to win big games.
Firstly if you are 7 down with the time nearly up and have the ball under control be patient and score close to the posts. Don’t throw a wild pass for a score in the corner.
Then when you get a penalty from the kick off tap and run a trained pattern instead of kicking to simply move 10 metres up field and run the risk of losing a lineout.
then when you get the ball and win a penalty know what you are going to do. There were players signaling for a scrum then all looking at each other.
Kick was rubbish but probably a good option if you had faith in the kicker. We never place enough value on the drop kick as a skill and I’ve lost count of the number of times that his bit us. -
