Wowee. Woodman the bulldozer! Casslick did feel that!

      Fluhler dots down.

      Nathan-Wong converts.

      26 - 5 BF7s

The BF7s win the Oceania Sevens.

          FT: BF7s 26 - 5 Aussie women

We'll only know exactly how good the BFs are when they've played the USA, France and Canada, but they're looking really good and I think their gold medal chances are high. Great team!

Haha, the BF7s have a new captain: Stacey Hirini. I wonder what Sarah Fluhler thinks about that? :cat_face_with_tears_of_joy:

Her ability to stop on a dime and accelerate again is amazing. Throw in those steps and swerves she showed in the final, good luck tackling her.

                    That third try was superb.

Just missed the line-up, but heard the commentator say that Kurt Baker will play his first game of the weekend. Does this make sense as preparation for the Olympics, that a player gets only one game?

I think men are lacking in outside backs except for Ware. Molia has lost confidence on attack and defence. Clarke is taking time to get instinctive sevens anticipation. Might have to try Knewstubb or Baker outside MGB and Webber or Rokolisoa. Our forward quartet is fine with Curry back to join Collier NG Shiu and Tim. Warbrick may come through I guess.

Damon Murphy, Jordan Way and Amy Perrett were all officiating in Townsville and are meant to be the ref and ARs for the AB test against Tonga this Sat. With current Covid restrictions none of them can leave Qld unless the travel pause is lifted tomorrow night.

That's a good thing because the first two are fucking useless.

@cliff ....me neither. He did not show enough at the earlier event, so we were all hoping to see him gel with the systems in this one. But, I did not see him on the field.

ENS played the first day. Didn't get many minutes IIRC and was quite disappointing, esp on defence.

@bovidae Cody Vai is the brother of Melani Nanai. Looked dangerous for the Samoa Barbarians U18s team on the weekend. Although he's a centre, he plays so much like Melani.

I'm pretty sure Xavier Tito-Harris and Francis Manuleleua are both signed by the Warriors. Manuleleua has been training with the Warriors during pre-season.
