This won't please some people, but the Warriors have signed Matt Lodge.
The positive part is the Broncos will pay a significant portion of the contract for the next 2 and a half years.
yup I know at least a handful of mates including myself who will be jumping off the 'this is our year' wagon. As someone who sold AB's vs Canada world cup tickets after living in Canada the year before and showing friends from there around NZ during the cup to then tell them sorry boys im off to sydney....to literally posting a status 'fucking warriors' every game we lost for a few years...I am now off.
Will likely stop watching league now.

I promise, it will be our year. Really promise.
Just keep Lodge away from Souff Orkland and hopefully he will come right.

jesus, Melbourne are bloody good. They toyed with the Roosters last night. Nilled them, could have scored 60+ if they really want.
They have a lot of shapes and moves that look like touch. I wonder if they are just as good if you can find a way of getting them in to the grind? Oh yeah, they are also the best wrestling team in the comp.
Did you see Olam iron out Walker? Fuuuuuuck that would have hurt anyone, let alone a 65kg 18 year old.
Yes the Roosters are down on troops, but they were destroyed last night. Same as Origin, same as half the games every weekend. Once a team is on top it's enormously hard to stop them. And if they have pace to back it up it's all over. I think this offseason is going to see a lot of players running a lot of kms to build bigger tanks.

With the recent Sullivan family and friends addition I might jump on the Melbourne bandwagon, they have my favourite league player of recent years (Jesse Bromwich) and tend to cycle through NZers fairly frequently. Plus Cam Smith and Billy Slater are both gone - awesome players but I don't ever want to be supporting them.

@nepia you are fucking shameless
I put my line in the sand quite clearly and the Warriors ignored me. In fact they did more than ignore me, they spat in my face.
If Judas Taumalolo wasn't with the Cowboys I might have jumped on your wagon - but I like to hold my grudges for as long as possible. Funnily enough Sydney teams never appeal to me even though they're most accessible.

@nepia I've always hated Manly, even when they had a few Kiwis in their team in the 1990s.
Oh they were my favourite team for a while back then because of their Kiwi players. Couldn't support them now though. My mate does as he's lived a good chunk of his adulthood in Manly and lives above Brookvale.

Uhhhh yeah so the Warriors might be fucked here, anyone watching?
Just jumped into the thread to see if there was any commentary on the experience of Townsend, RTS, and DWZ combining to let St George have a seven tackle set from a pointless droppie attempt and then be too careless in the in-goal…

I think I blamed the wrong winger there, but it was mainly on RTS with that half pie first kick…
you did, Kosi is as useless as tits on a bull...

Especially on that last play scrambling to get the loose ball…
