Given that my attention spell at the moment isn't that long and that I tend to relax to watch fairly late I have been getting into some shows with short running times that are light on the need to concentrate.
Kominsky Method - Don't let the fact that it is a Chuck Lorre show put you off. Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin are a brilliantly performed take on a GOM couple. Ignore the odd schmultzy bit and enjoy the repartee.
Huge in France - came out a couple of years ago as well. I think it has come back to the front Netflix page as a second series may drop soon. Light funny fish out of water show with some big name cameos.

I assume you mean reality tv? I don't have a wife so don't watch any reality tv.

i mate pointed me towards that, i haven't watched whole episodes but "followed" the highlights....and so started getting targets for the forging vidoes that are fascinating....and now im looking around for a course, found a couple of one day course where you make our own kitchen knife! think it could be fun

Anyone here watched Clarkson's Farm? New one on Amazon Prime. Just tore through all eight episodes.
It's a doco that follows Jeremy Clarkson's attempt to actually run the farm he's owned for about a decade (but paid for others to manage). It's a pretty sizeable property in the Cotswalds.
I'm not a massive Clarkson fan, but I really enjoyed this show. I found it engrossing. I'm not a farmer but always been fascinated with how farms work, so this was right in my wheelhouse. The farmhands and assistants steal the show.
It was pretty serious in nature, obviously light-hearted moments but Clarkson shelved his Top Gear persona for the most part.
I'd recommend. I think it's one of those shows that you'd know within the first 15 minutes if it was for you or not.

@barbarian Have watched it, and as someone who grew up on a farm, enjoyed it a lot. He doesn't dodge the fact it is a hard slog in the physical, mental and financial sense.
A couple of farmers i know commented favourably on social media, and I tend to agree: while still retaining a bit of that Clarkson pigheadedness, it is very well crafted and Kaleb and Gerald are the highlights for me.

Black Summer
Season 2 came out on Netflix and it is mostly to do with winter. Minimal dialogue, a crapload of violence, and some questionable decisions on how to handle yourself during The Zombie Plague.
I commented somewhere about season 1's grip on reality, in terms of people who could otherwise work together but choose selfishness/greed. Perhaps in season 1, being early in the piece, everyone is a little nuts.
This time we're 6 months down the track and there are far less people around. Maybe I'm an optimist, but I think the human need for tribe would at this point would outweigh the mania that consumes most of the characters involved.
Perhaps that is the REAL plague; the message being that humans are terrible and deserve to be callous shitbags.
Still, I liked it. Some good tension building, use of audio and music to back up the camera work, which is a great blend of delightful scenery and whirlwinds of chaos during the violent bits.

Looking forward to it. Was gonna binge it this weekend but given it’s apparently sunny ( albeit freezing ) I’m taking the boys on some bush walks tomorrow and have a lunch with the other half’s mates on Sunday.
I think the thing that irked me in season one was how dumb some main character were, particularly in the school scenes.
I doubt this show has the legs to go on for too many seasons though…..

Can highly recommend Clarkson's documentaries on the Victoria Cross, The Dieppe Raid, the Artic Convoys and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Funnily enough this one reality show I've seen a bunch of episodes of - was in Nelson Bay (Oz version not @Chris-B version) over summer and we got rained out so spent the day making cocktails and playing board games with Forged in Fire running constantly.

Really Kaleb, Gerald and Charlie take the show from passable to bloody good. They are so different from Jeremy, but watching them work together and bounce off each other (Kaleb especially) makes the show about more than just a farmer on a farm.
