Kobe took down twitter with his 60. What a way to go out (bar the traditional win a championship and walk off into the sunset ala Peyton Manning). Hard to believe something could out shine GSW's effort of 73 wins today but Kobe did it.

Massive night for Kobe. Sad to see him go, but a bit of me wishes he left a few years ago when he was less injured. I feel like he'll be the sort of player who will stage a comeback in two seasons.

60 points is huge, though he did take 50 of the Lakers' 85 shots that night so you'd expect he'd probably run up a bit of a tally with that many attempts. Good on him for giving the crowd what they came to see.

Didn't see any of the games today, but are there any updates on Curry's injury?

Just watched a recap of the OKC v Mavs game 2 and Adams couldn't get the game winner after the review. He did make a couple of big plays in that 4th quarter though. Series tied 1-1 going to Dallas for the next 2 games.

That Pistons v Cavs game yesterday was a good one. Pistons blew it I reckon with some poor 4th quarter play by Reggie Jackson. Cavs went really small with Lebron at centre at one stage. That took Drummond out of the game.

Curry sitting out Game 2, and the Warriors are making hard work of it at home. Currently up by 5 with 9 minutes left.

They got the job done fairly comfortably in the end. They will be tempted to sit Curry again in a few days time, Shaun Livingston did a pretty handy job as a replacement PG.

OKC were flat today. Steve came up big in the 4th as ACT said but man we really didn't need to go to Dallas 1-1. I wouldn't have said this yesterday but Mavs could steal this. OKC are a horrible road team at the best of times.

After the 2003–04 season, Nash became a free agent. He attempted to negotiate a long-term contract with Cuban, who was paying Walker, Finley, Nowitzki and Jamison nearly $50 million in combined salaries that season. Cuban wanted to build his franchise around the younger Nowitzki and did not want to risk signing the 30-year-old Nash to a long-term deal, and offered Nash a four-year deal worth about $9 million annually, with a fifth year partially guaranteed. The Phoenix Suns on the other hand offered the point guard a six-year, $63 million contract. Nash was reluctant to leave Dallas and returned to Cuban to see if he would match the deal; Cuban did not, and Nash signed with the Suns for the 2004–05 season. The Suns threw the cheque book open to Nash. $60+ mill for 5 years with a 6th year option. That was huge money in 2004. Dallas couldn't match it so it's sometimes about the money!!!

My comment about Grant Hill was more the fact that he played in less than 40 games in 4 seasons after signing a $90 million contract. OUCH

Steph has sprained his MCL and is out for two weeks.

The Warriors should still get past the Rockets (scored 41 in the 3rd quarter after Steph sat down), but you would think he will miss at least the first two games against the Clippers next round (provided they get past the Blazers).

It's massive news, especially with the Spurs and Cavs cruising through their first round matchups.

The Clippers match up well against the Warriors, and the prospect of Steph returning to a 1-1 or even 0-2 or 1-2 series has injected a new energy into the playoffs.

I am cheering for the Blazers anyway so am hopeful they can move on now. Amazing story if they do given they lost 4 of their starting 5 from last season. Dame and CJ are in the top 3 backcourts in the NBA.
