Can't wait for this series to start. Anything could happen! The Bucks have the best player but the Suns have the two next best. I have this sneaking suspicion that Bridges will be asked to carry a significant offensive load. We'll need the scoring to be spread as we can't expect Paul to score 30 too often and I reckon Booker will be well marked. So Bridges and Ayton will need to contribute with the ball, and Bridges is a guy who could really upset the balance. Crowder will have to drop some 3s and ensure he's drawing guys outside to create opportunities inside, and Ayton under the glass will have to make hard baskets and take O rebounds all day.

What I love about this series also is that only one player across both rosters has played in an NBA finals series (Crowder).

Just on the order of best players, I’d probably go

    1. Giannis
    2. Paul
    3. Middleton
    4. Booker
    5. Holiday

    Middleton ahead of Booker? Noooooooo.

He might have that receding hairline and not have the Insta girlfriend, but Middleton slightly edges Booker given his all round game. There’s something unassuming about Middleton that I quite like.

@voodoo Ayton has really stepped up in these playoffs, as has Lopez. But I like Holiday’s defence over both of them.

I’d go Ayton at 6 and Lopez 7.

@act-crusader Booker has overtaken Middleton this year, if he hadn't already. One is a franchise player, the other is not.

@shark agree. What we're seeing is Middleton needing to step up and Booker being able to rely on Paul. Booker is a potential future MVP. I don't think Middleton is that.

Middleton is really good. When his shot isn't falling I love that he gets rebounds and finds ways to contribute. The issue with him is his consistency. He just can't be relied on every night.

Booker certainly has a higher ceiling, and could one day be the best guy on a contender. Right now, who is the better 2nd banana?

    It's pretty close!

Right now it’s Middleton for me, and I agree with @voodoo that Booker may well reach greater heights.

And as has been shown in the playoffs this year, Middleton has stepped up and had some massive games.

    Sweet shooting from Book tonight.

Some home cooking from the refs in that 3rd quarter…😉

Yep that was almost like Book and Middleton had read the Fern and wanted to prove my point. Middleton's game went backwards like his hairline.

2-0 now. Bucks need to win 4 of 5. Crazy difficult but certainly not impossible.

The Suns won at home so the Bucks need to do the same. If that happens the finals become a best of 3 series. But if the Suns win in Milwaukee then game over.

I think this is a lock now and the series is over. Momentum is too strong, Suns in 4 or 5. Sir Charles will be happy!

I wouldn’t write the Bucks off at home, they’re 7-1 at home in the playoffs so far.

If the Suns hit 20 three’s in another game in this series, I’ll eat my potae…

@act-crusader they haven't needed to hit 20 threes to win games. That was one out of the box.

    🤣

Coming into the game, the Americans had been 54-2 in exhibition games since professionals started playing in 1992. Nine years ago, they beat Nigeria by 83 points in the London Olympics. Five years ago, Team USA beat Nigeria by 43 points in an exhibition.

I just watched the end of that game. Nobody cared. The Nigerians didn't even hi-5 each other at the end, they couldn't have cared less. Just a muck-a-round.

Reminds me of when the 92 Dream Team lost to a bunch of college kids before the Olympics.

The Dream Team got them back in the rematch though, apparently smashing them by 100.

Aussies have one of those two.

As for the game itself, it had the intensity of a glorified shoot around. Didn’t even match the intensity of one of those playground pick up games that the pros play.
