And there is the next try for Rotorua by their right winger. You could wait for it.

    21 - 3 to Rotorua.

Just as Napier butchers a great opportunity, Hastings prop Aone Lolofie goes over for a well-deserved try in the other game!

Difficult kick for Hoera Stephenson, but he slots it!

    Hastings leads 14 - 7.

Hastings has to be careful. Another intercept for NP, fortunately not leading to anything .

Napier finally rewarded for their efforts. Great try to Bethel Leutele Malasia!

    Halfback Cory Berkett converts.

Rotorua still leads 21 to 10.

I'd feel a lot more comfotable if Hastings scored another try. NP seems to be getting back into the game.

Not good. Napier's Bethel Leutele Malasia gets off injured. Limping.

Great try to Rotorua's openside Brooke Mitchell.

Hastings under the pump and giving away too many penalties. The ref gives them a warning.

NP have a good chance here.

Rotorua leads 28 - 10 in the other game.

Yellow card to one of the Hastings' players for offside. NP hot on attack, but Flanders turns the ball over. Still not safe though.

It's full time: Hastings Boys beat New Plymouth Boys 14 to 7.

Deserved win, but Hastings should have put more points on the board. Good defence from NP, but Hastings clearly the better side.

Yes, Napier finally rewarded for their efforts! Try to the reserve LH.

Rotorua still leads though: 28 - 17, but the score is a bit more respectable.

As I write that, Roturua almost scores though.

And now they do. Roturua's openside Brooke Mitchell - their captain - scores his second. That was a great attack with some beautiful passes.

Full time: Rotorua Boys 33 - 17 Napier Boys

The Moascar Cup stays in Rotorua.

If the competition table on the Tribe app is correct, then it's a bit worrying that Hastings, despite having a win more than Hamilton, has only one competition point more than Hamilton. Hamilton must have earned more bonus points.

Three weeks no Super 8 now, but Napier play Feilding HS at home on 25 July (sports exchange). Their next Super 8 game is against New Plymouth (away) on 31 July.

Hastings play Tauranga at home on 31 July. Don't know about traditionals or sports exchanges.

I didn't realise that they attended Hastings Boys' at the same time, until I saw this post.

Today, several games between Napier Boys and Feilding HS (annual rugby exchange): U14, U15, 2nd XV and 1st XV.

The 1st XV game starts at 12.30pm and will be livestreamed here: https://sideline.live/play/14855

    I haven't seen a team line-up, yet.

Didn't watch the game too closely, but Napier did make it hard for themselves with sloppy passing, lots of other handling errors, and some ill-discipline. They should have easily smashed Feilding HS, but it was 17 - 12 at half time. The full time score: 29 - 12 to Napier Boys'.

Not sure what it is with Napier Boys' this season; I had higher hopes at the beginning of the season, because there are some really talented players in this squad and they looked good in preseason, but ball handling just keeps on being a problem. Maybe it's because they've lost so many players from last year and this is a very young squad, I don't know. It's pity for some of the really great talents in this team (particularly Gilgal Leutele Malasia, his brother Bethel, Lochi Mead and Gus Brown), because I'm not sure whether they'll all still be there, next year. Bethel scored a great try in this game.
