What the fuck @Nepia ? You give this an upvote but not mine ? It’s the exact same band and exact same line up hahaha !
@Tim just posted it without trying to talk the song up. If you'd done the same you would have got the upvote too.
Now I'm wondering whether Arcadia were really shit too.

You don’t need to wonder.

Well - that inspired me to download the whole original series... except it's 75 bloody GB worth.
Is there a point in shit filmed on 80's technology being in HD?
I might settle for the shitty 2006 movie. -
@tim said in What are you listening to, right now................:
@kruse Mate, the original series is so, so good.
And I love the movie too.
I watched it all again about 10 or 12 years ago.
I can't remember the movie - just assumed it was shit (but fun shit) like all the remakes "KILLING MY CHILDHOOD YOU HOLLYWOOD MONSTERS!"
Before your encouragement, I had already given in and started downloading the whole bloody lot.
Modern internet speeds are the shiz. I just saw "75GB" - and figured it would take an age. Nope - should be set for some breakfast '80s TV. -

Not quite as good as U2 but aargh.. What a tune..

Some times you need to go Midnight Crazy.

There are four reasons why this is a great song:
The vocal harmonies
Master pop song writer Russ Ballard (Argent) wrote it with those strengths in mind. (When Michael Mann needed a song for the speedboat trip to the Bahamas in early Miami Vice, Ballard nailed it.)
Lead vocals aside, everything was performed by Toto.
That goofy video and those great shirts.
-
Neil Young in Berlin 1982. Used to be a good DVD rip on youtube.
Best version I could find:
The performance of Sample & Hold is really good.

He made that album (Trans) to try to better relate to his computer loving autistic son, and it's a pretty touching song and performance.

Oh sweet baby Jesus the Timman has a heart!
Hallelujah!

Didn’t the actor who played the Tinman die of lead poisoning from the paint or is that one of those urban legends?…
Probably should have googled it first but meh.. -

He just got sick I think. Was aluminium powder or something. Couldn't breathe and they got some other bloke to do it, who also got sick with something else related to it.

@Virgil First guy Buddy Ebsen. Second guy Jack Haley.
Just inhale or cover yourself with aluminium. It'll be fine.
I did like this though, what a way to go out:
*Haley's last film appearance was in 1977's New York, New York—in the lavish "Happy Endings" musical number, *
Everybody likes a happy ending.

The munchkins were allegedly little perverts too, always tormenting the girls.
And yet you are still here.
I'm too big to be a munchkin.
