@stargazer Let me guess. Home town ref decides in the tenth minute of injury time, completely against the run of play and a mystifying decision that confounded even the most one eyed TBC supporter that the visiting team infringed, backed up by only one of the touch judges putting their flags up?
On the good side that must put Hastings in pole position to win home advantage for the playoffs does it not?

@higgins I didn't watch the game, so I can't possibly tell you.
However, the scoreline suggest that your "against the run of play" comment may be wrong. For most of the first half, Hamilton lead 12 - 0 and then Tauranga started it's comeback with a penalty. The HT score was 12-3 to Hamilton. Hamilton didn't score a single point during the second half; Tauranga scored 10 points, including that late penalty. I may or may not watch the game to see what happened.I hope you're right about Hastings being in pole position, but they still have to play Hamilton .... in Hamilton. Last game of the round robin. We'll have to follow the officiating closely in that game.

There's now a two or three-week break in the competitions. Schools may use this period to have a rest, but there will also be catch-up games (games that have been postponed), traditionals and sports exchanges.I used to follow the schools with the help of Facebook friends lists (a list per competition), but Facebook has abandoned these friends lists, so it will be a lot harder to keep up-to-date with non-competition games. I'll try though.
