@chris I thought he made the move to Canterbury last year…

The year before then he went back to the Turbos
    I don’t think he’s playing NPC

@nepia you leaving Wellington out of the top four is about as predictable as it comes. If they get everyone on the park they are going to challenge for the title. Stronger than Auckland IMO. Ta$man would be obvious favourites.

    1. Numia (Hurricanes)
    2. Coles (Hurricanes)
    3. Fidow (Hurricanes)
    4. Blackwell (Hurricanes)
    5. Bird (Stade Francais/Hurricanes)
    6. Plumtree (Blues)
    7. Kirifi (Hurricanes)
    8. Savea (Hurricanes)
    9. Perenara (Hurricanes)
    10. Love (Hurricanes)
    11. Goosen (Hurricanes)
    12. Umaga-Jensen (Hurricanes)
    13. Proctor (Hurricanes)
    14. Savea (Hurricanes)
    15. Garden-Bachop (Highlanders)
    16. Aumua (Hurricanes)
    17. Armstrong (Hurricanes)
    18. Not sure who they’ve signed here.
    19. Ah Koui (Chiefs)
    20. Delany (Hurricanes)
    21. Judd (No Super team yet)
    22. Morgan (Hurricanes)
    23. Aso (Hurricanes)

I am happy to see Corey Kellow here. He was among the best Crusaders U20 players during the SRA U20. Mobile, strong at the breakdown and good linking with the back. Not a midget either (1.90 m - 6ft 3 - for an openside).

Kellow played really well today v Ta$man,
He came on for an injured Allen in the 7th minute.

@chris only real weakness is props (surprise surprise) and the inexperienced loose forwards if we get injuries.

@chris I noticed McAlister getting off injured quite early, too.

    Romano had a massive game.

@stargazer technically it is because they will all be playing NPC this year. (Most likely anyway)

@canes4life I hope not. Not only does that favour certain teams (as @Nepia rightly points out), but I'd rather see a condensed, NZ based Rugby Championship (like last year's in Oz).

    Canterbury:
Taylor - needs a proper rest
Moody - bit short of a gallop
Whitelock - could do with a rest, but
    Mo’unga - bring it on
Ennor - probably injure himself getting off the team bus 😉
Bridge - we could play him at 2nd 5 or centre…

@stargazer at this late stage it will be a logistical nightmare won’t it?

That’s the way it is and always will be. The big unions will always rise to the top when they have all their All Blacks. Hawkes Bay have enough talent to match it with the big teams though so I wouldn’t be too disheartened if the NPC (with All Blacks) goes ahead.

I think it will be great for NZ rugby aslong as the fans get behind their provinces.

Take the Naki for example, imagine if they get a full season with all three Barrett’s on the park. It would be great.

Note - D'Angelo Leuila playing for Waikato.

I had mentioned previously that he had been playing club rugby in the Waikato. With Smith leaving and Reihana going back to Northland there will be an opening for a more experienced 1st 5. The other guys in the province are young and untested.
