Bay of Plenty 2021

I watched the game last night and wasn't totally impressed. The Force completely dominated territory and possession for most of the game. The Bays set piece (as has been mentioned) wasn't flash and we showed little on attack.
It was a typical pre season game however with plenty of mistakes and player positional switches (at one stage we had two half backs playing and even Tanurau Latimar [the coach] played 10 minutes.) The rain didn't help and we were without several of the topline players so I'm not sure what can be read into it but it was nice to see some of the new players getting game time. As bayimports said we should get better by playing together more.
I understand the team is announced on the 27th and the next pre season game is against North Harbour next week.

Is he injured?@bay-boy-tim He had a knee injury requiring arthroscopic surgery in late April/early May. They said at the time that the expected recovery time was two to three months; so - all going well - he should be back in August.

Close to full strength forward pack. Sekuini Tanimo looked exciting against the Force and I am told Onisi Ratave has some real wheels. Just hope he has some skills as well.

Usually they play their top team in their last pre season game before the competition starts so as to "bed in" combinations etc etc etc. That isn't even close to their top team. No Harris, Mafileo, Ah Kuoi, Lalomilo, Narawa or Tiatia . Strangely Ratave isn't even officially listed in the team. I only hope there isn't injuries and they are instead just keeping their "powder dry".

i think Tiatia is injured, Nathan unfortunately is an injury magnet so no surprise if he was, don't know about the others
