Collection (complete) of 50 cigarette cards, “New Zealand Footballers” from 1928. I went through several collections to cobble most of this set together many years ago. They can usually be found in varying condition from $50 to $300 complete, a nice investment for the sons or nephews. What I really like is these small cards are “Real Photographs,” not half-tone dot prints. The small photos are presumably smaller than the actual negatives they were photographed onto. Put a magnifying glass up to them and they spring to life, they look spectacularly clear and sharp. I suspect on a good scanner they could be enlarged into nice high res 8x10s.

One question I’ve always wanted to know is where these cards were distributed. The tobacco company is British. Were these cards intended for British or Kiwi markets?

@kid-chocolate sorry answering your question from 18 days ago. I'm mainly a jersey collector but pick up other bits here and there.

@cpt-kumera uh shitloads. Got nearly every Chiefs home jersey, just need 1997. A few away jerseys. A bunch of player issued and match worn Chiefs stuff. Old and new Waikato stuff. Some old and new All Blacks stuff. Then a lot of random other club stuff, player issue and replica. Can maybe try post some photos if anyone cares?

Adding to that, if anyone by any chance has a 97 Chiefs jersey and they want to part with it please let me know.

Not sure I've seen a lot of this thread before but we've got a fair bit of stuff at home as my wife's grandfather was the late John Pring who referee'd a significant amount of tests including all 4 of the tests against the Lion's in 1971.

We've got a lot of jerseys and various memorabilia at home now. I will need to have a good look through it and see what is of interest to post

Just completed my full Chiefs home jersey collection. Managed to source the final 2 I needed within a week of each other. Can post a photo if anyone is keen, I run an Instagram dedicated to it so will probably put a video up on there.

I’ve got a bottle of NZ Chardonnay signed by the 1987 RWC team. Sits alongside a bottle of French Foreign Legion wine I got off a kiwi guy in the Legion as payment for the beers we bought him on the way to watch an All Black test at the 2007 RWC.

Also have a Brad Wiggins signed Tour de France yellow jersey I bought at a ball whilst pissed.
