I'm watching Dark at the moment so am subtitling currently.
I ended up watching with English audio. A bit of a mindfuck though to fully understand.
I can't watch dubbed stuff.

I really enjoyed the series. Watched subtitled. Understood about 3% of it.

@bovidae which is why I havent bothered with S2 yet, was it a good dubbing, you can almost always tell in a few seconds without even looking at the screen when it's dubbed.
I found it OK as you get used to the voices but the English is Americanised (or is that Americanized?).

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
Saw this on Amazon Prime Video ages ago and bookmarked it. Have been watching it in bits and pieces - a little odd at 7 episodes long, I might add.
Deals mainly with an alternate England around the time of the Napoleonic Wars, specifically the resurrection of English Magic by the two main characters. Really it is more about the relationship and conflict between the two, with the side stories being politics and society of the time.
I found it enjoyable, and apparently the novel it is based on is getting sequels after 15 years or so, so maybe there are more series in future. However, it is fine to finish where it did.
I read the book years ago, weirdly really enjoyed it, would be very interested in seeing how it translated to tv

Finished watching S3 of Yellowstone which ended with a bang. I like some characters more than others but this is good quality drama written by Taylor Sheridan.
agreed, its great, fell for some marketing on Stan and thought the next season had dropped so convinced the wife to rewatch the last episode and then start the next one...only to read the fine print about it dropping later in the year

@rapido I do that with alot now too, I think the way they do sound with most stuff has too much background noise that often conversations can get drowned out.
I do it because I’m getting old

@nepia I watched S1 of Dark, really enjoyed it, but havent started S2.
It's the first show I've binged in a long time - I usually limit myself to one episode of a particular show I'm watching a night, I've been watching two and three of Dark.
Shit - I didn't realise there was S2 or S3 out... now I've got something else to download and binge.

Finally finished Dark.
Excellent series if somewhat confusing. Not helped by disjointed viewing.
Subtitles aside, it is a very good series. Best binged IMO.
After the first episode I decided that all Germans that weren't Hitler looked the same. Then I watched episode two and it got worse.
It's a show that needs one of those character pages like some novels have with all the linkages.
Agreed. I needed this to keep track: https://dark.netflix.io/en
I'm basically blocking reading anything relating to the show in the off chance of spoilers (in fact I'm taking a stupid risk even discussing it now
).
So will check that link when I'm done.
It's designed to be spoiler free so you can check relationships by episode.
I thought I'd understood S1 pretty well.. but having a recap via that website made me 'click' to a couple of things.
Pretty fucking slick website, by the ways.
Did a mini-binge of 3 episodes of S2 just now... the first episode, I was all at sea. But then managed to catch up, I think.
In the end, I was pretty much at the "how the fucking fuck do the writers keep it together. They must have planned a LOT of this shit out in advance - at least 2 seasons... I have no idea how well S3 holds up yet, obviously. But... fuck, how do you write a time-travel series in this day and age of internet-fluffybunnies picking holes in everything?" point.
I've already got one or two questions I want to ask, but am almost certain they're easily answered if I was just paying attention.
Edit: a FUCKING slick website... when you click through a character, and realise it's going back and forth in the episodes, according to THEIR view of events. Nicely done. -

But maybe I should give it it another go with the help of the magic website that promises to make me smarter.

Time - Sean Bean
Think this has been mentioned a while back, pretty sombre series about Bean who plays a teacher that has been put in prison for killing someone while drink driving.
BUt well acted and scripted (3 part series)
