Omar from The Wire comes to mind for mine for that category. Such a great character

@aucklandwarlord Is he even a bad guy? He doesn’t target civilians and some of the actual po-lice (although not the main crew) are dodgier than he is. Marlo is a bad guy and I was never cheering for him.

@kiwiwomble my ancestors made a blended whisky (sold out to Diego or whatever it is in the 80s I think) and I was going through Singapore airport one time and they were doing tasters of the 30 year one, it was very good.

my grandmother was a Murray, the family of the dukes of Athol, and of this whisky fame, like to claim im about 200th in line for a dukedom...just waiting for some sort of tragedy at a family reunion...i do have an older brother though....
might need to take this to a whisky thread

@kiwiwomble well in the late 70s my great grandfather owned a pub in Pukekohe somewhere, and at the time the distillery was still owned by Ballantines, and they used to send him a case now and again, he was born in NZ, but his parents emigrated from Scotland so not entirely sure how close but not too far back I expect.

Seinfeld / Arrested Developmentmight just be the people I know....but arrested development has been referred to as the greatest show in history many times, if anything I thought it was great but overrated

Nah, George is one of my all time favourite characters. Unfortunately I can relate to some of his struggles.

Nah, George is one of my all time favourite characters. Unfortunately I can relate to some of his struggles.
I now have an unfortunate image of George as a uniformed cop in Queensland pointing a gun at me as I get off a plane saying "you're that prick Snowy off the fern aren't you" and getting dragged off to a cell to share with Mr Big who wants to play mummies and daddies. Oh well never been a huge fan of Queensland.
