Finished S3 of Dark tonight...
Not bad. I'm sure nerds who spend time on picking holes in shit could pick some holes in this shit, but overall - I was fucking impressed that a time-travel TV series could seemingly keep it together over 3 series.For people have seen up to the start of S3:
:::
Of course - dumping in the 2nd world made it a bit easier, and I thought was a bit of a cop-out at first... but I guess it worked out
:::
For people who have seen up to late-S3:
:::
And then dropping in "oh, Schrodinger's Cat, somebody could be alive or dead at the same time if it happened at the crux of the infinity circle"... was a bit of a cop-out
:::
For people who have seen the finale:-
Apparently the website breaks on the 3rd spoiler. So.. fuck it... was that a cop-out? Or not?
-
And shit - so many spoilers... how about when the T1000s appeared, and it became a fucking Terminator cross-over?
To be honest - for me - Doctor Who was unexpected.
And yeah, overall - that official website was bloody useful for checking up after every second episode or so, having watched most of it pretty drunk... and very well done.

-
@kruse Shit, I forgot to post my review of the final season and conclusion - I was pretty disappointed actually. Still think the series was great but I think the dropped the ball a bit in the third season and especially the conclusion ... although it's not as bad as the final scene in Man in the High Castle.
:::
I think if the 3rd season was the second to last and they played out the alternate universe and then brought it all together in the final it would have worked better.
:::
The makers of it have a new show coming out which I think is more horror.

@kiwiwomble OK, will stick with it then

So Parks and Rec. ..
I've finally gotten around to it. 3 episodes into S1.
It's a little slow yeah?
If you'd have asked I would have advised you to skip S1 and just start with S2. It's a different, not very good show, in S1 and part of S2.
But they makes some good tweaks of characters and add some new ones and then it takes off from there.

yeah, OK - I'm only 3 episodes in, should I persist with it or jump to S2 then?

I LOVED Yellowstone, I smashed the whole thing during my hotel quarantine last year

Persist if you want to be a completist - it's a short season right? But skip if you're getting bored with it. It does get really good so don't want you to drop out based in the first season.

I'll persist then. It's not like I dislike it so far, just didn't grab immediately

Almost finished season five of The Walking Dead. Terribly repetitive. Can't see myself persevering with it much longer.
Talking about tedious shows, my lovely wife has started watching Midsomer Murders. How does a show clearly made by an amateur theatre group go for so many seasons?

I think I finished S6. And from what I recall, they tried to rectify the repetitiveness in S6, but just went off the rails with fishtailing, and ended up with trying to avoid the... a... repetitiveness at the season-level, rather than episode-level? If that makes sense?
I still intend to watch at least a couple of the next seasons... even though I believe this is the point where it just starts going downhill fast. If only to understand the cultural references in whatever the equivalent of The Simpsons is several years from now. -
@antipodean i have zero idea what series I bailed on, but think the tiger king fulla was about

I can’t remember exactly where I gave up so won’t mention it in case I’m spoiling.
If I bite my tongue and grit my teeth I might admit that same about Star Wars one day.

Started Your Honor ( American spelling ) with the potential future Mrs MN5.
Outstanding two episodes in, what a shit show( that they’re in, the show as in TV show is terrific ), makes you wonder what the fuck you’d do if your own son was in that situation.
Excellent compelling viewing so far.

Did anyone else watch How to sell drugs online (fast) on Netflix? Another German show on Netflix, three seasons.
It's quite a good comedy-drama.

Just started Mother Father Son.
Wasn't really sure of the premise and still not, but stars Richard Gear as a rich media mogul in the UK, who I'm sure we can guess is an evil arsehole. Also has the late Helen McCrory as the ex wife. They have a fucked up son who is running the star paper while his dad is in the US.
Pretty good so far, almost finished ep2.

Does Richard Gere die a horrible, painful, embarrassing death? That might make me watch the last ten minutes.
