Seinfeld / Arrested Developmentmight just be the people I know....but arrested development has been referred to as the greatest show in history many times, if anything I thought it was great but overrated

Nah, George is one of my all time favourite characters. Unfortunately I can relate to some of his struggles.

I now have an unfortunate image of George as a uniformed cop in Queensland pointing a gun at me as I get off a plane saying "you're that prick Snowy off the fern aren't you" and getting dragged off to a cell to share with Mr Big who wants to play mummies and daddies. Oh well never been a huge fan of Queensland.

You would probably get accidentally shot before being dragged off the plane.

Really? It's always seemed a highly rated, but pretty niche show (before the Netflix version) to me, in comparison to Seinfeld which was a phenomenon, probably would have been the biggest if not for Friends.
So I think I agree with @Kruse , especially as I've been rewatching Seinfield on and off over the past few months and some of the episodes are more average than I remember.

LOL. Suspected as much.
Better than Mr Big playing mummies and daddies though.

Isn't he saying it's underrated in comparison to how highly Seinfeld is though?
Are we just in a loop now?

@kiwiwomble said in Overrated/Underrated:
@nepia maybe
I thought it was a case of two things of a theme that are over/under rated in general
Probably a case a of a bunch of Polish chicks espousing their random thoughts on what other people think of whatever they want to talk about, with absolutely no basis in fact or reason.

@kiwiwomble @Nepia Arrested is another I haven't seen, when you speak of the "original" is that the 2003 show I can see on Disney +?

I assume so as it was originally a Fox show … i guess Netflix didn’t buy up all the rights, just the rights to make new seasons.

Any instructions for this one then or can I just watch from the start?

Definitely watch from the start. Are you going to watch in tandem with Parks and Rec or when you’re done with it?

I was thinking about that earlier. Binge an entire show at a time, or a series at a time - or alternate a few episodes each
Lockdown is so confusing.

we watched the whole series last year during lockdown
so we watched it as 5 continuous seasons. what it really is is 3 seasons (2003-2006) and the it was canceled, Netflix bought the the rights and produced another 2 season (2013-2019) including a 10 year time jump
you could almost leave the Netflix seasons, they're different, thats just me though
