I've watched a lot of their live concerts on youtube and they always come across like they are taking the piss.
My tickets for Brixton academy 2020 are now valid for Brixton Academy 2022 .... even with tickets to Pearl Jam & the Foo's next year, this is the one I'm hanging out for the most.

I got tickets for them for Auckland last year which got refunded for obvious reasons. The rest of the band still rock as well as ever but sadly I reckon Mike Patton is well past his use by date, there’s only so much shrieking a bloke can do without destroying the vocal chords and I reckon he needs to give it away ( unintentional chillies pun ).
At his best he had a fucken amazing voice that compared with 90s rockers like Chris Cornell and Jeff Buckley in terms of power, emotion and range. He just can’t do it anymore in my opinion.

I wasn't a huge fan of an earlier single I listened to but this is very catchy.
Is it unpatriotic to mention how much I hate their cover of “I got you” ? Having heard Jon Toogood interviewed numerous times he sounds like such a good bloke, but that version ( of a song I was never crazy about to start with ) is God awful. I feel bad saying that.
Better finish with something decent then, this song is fucken choice.

Have you been to Brixton Academy before? Hydrate well beforehand and expect to come home covered in beer. Stupid bars set in the back wall of a packed venue mean groups send one person to the bar and bucket brigade overfilled plastic cups back overhead..
Apart from that it's a good venue close to transport. -
