Just reading some NH commentary on the game. They totally reject the 20 minute red card replacement. I can't even begin to explain why it's good. They don't seem to care about how red cards ruin games for spectators. All you get back is "the red carded team deserved to play with a man less". Sigh.

If Savea is out, then Papalii is our only option at 7.

Who is available who has played super rugby? Is Harmon fit? Other than Kirifi, Choat and Havili are about the only ones left standing.

It's irrelevant, we can't use them. They can't be called into the squad because of MIQ places. Unless ABs booked a lot more than they needed

Not quite true. I think Foster explained that they don’t have many spare spaces so need to be careful with squad management ie not bringing someone over for a short term injury.

That's my point, they're not going to bring over anyone for head knocks, especially as they have 2 weeks quarantine over in QLD. They are irrelevant unless Ardie and Taylor are out for over a month,.

@machpants Do you want to go into a test match with only two hookers in your squad? Very easy to be in trouble if there's another injury.

Beaudy did some lovely things and will be better for the run. Given the general kicking display I'm loathe to rip into him about that - it looked like everyone had some issues there for some reason.

DMac did nothing bad and nothing great.

I totally want to, and he should have been capped much sooner, but I just can't see it happening.

Ok, so we can get another hooker in, maybe, for the first boks game. The ABs can't get one earlier. So this 3rd hooker, can play versus boks, but he had just had 2 weeks in a hotel after a month or so lock down in NZ. The reality is we really only have the players over there for the RC, maybe we'll get some reinforcements for games 2 Vs SA, that's it

That's not happening for at least two more weeks, so irrelevant. Even then, they'll lump all NZ in with Auckland

Not better than Akira, but better than Blackadder wide, I.E. trying to play to his strengths. Akira is better than the rest of the loosies regardless of what role he is playing.

I certainly wasn't implying he would be available immediately, just that they can't just bring over a new player to join the squad unless a MIQ spot in NZ is found for when they return. Foster might need to find a Kiwi hooker in Aust in an emergency.

I certainly wasn't implying he would be available immediately, just that they can't just bring over a new player to join the squad unless a MIQ spot in NZ is found for when they return. Foster might need to find a Kiwi hooker in Aust in an emergency.

I think in an emergency Coles stays in NZ, and hooker #5 joins ABs. Unless the theoretical kiwi hooker in Oz is in QLD or WA, they still have 2 weeks quarantine. That's the real challenge of this tour, juggling injury replacements.

What was the general feeling on BB and DMac?

Beaudy did some lovely things and will be better for the run. Given the general kicking display I'm loathe to rip into him about that - it looked like everyone had some issues there for some reason.

DMac did nothing bad and nothing great.

Have they swapped to adidas balls, same thing happened in TT , noone kicked any good in Aus.
Really enjoyed the game, that was a bloody impressive performance, whole team went well. Agree with Akira MOTM, Brodie was in beast mode, both wings were bloody good, as were insides etc. I have to say I was real impressed with ALB too, shit he does some good stuff both in defence and with ball in hand, a real good 13!

Anyone else notice early on that Oz were taking players out in front of the rucks, like in the last game. Seemed to lose their appetite for that pretty quick. Probably due to their forwards making negative metres.
