ZZ Top are the band that my JK hating, carpenter uncle from Morrinsville would insist on putting on at family do's, but god damn they had some bangers - even the first pick on youtube.
There’s much more variety to ZZ Top than the 80’s synth rock they are most famous for. No band played three piece blues rock better than they did.

Not a fan, this is only song I like and I do reeeeally like it.

There were others?

He limited things with 'three piece'.
Otherwise we could look at George Thorogood and the Destroyers or even Dr Feelgood as contenders

I could have said “Power trio” and made things more obvious.

@machpants as long as Americans use spotify, Don't Stop Believing will always been these lists.
I think you'll find Africa is a crowd favourite too. I remember on that GnR trip to Singers I do a few years ago, in the baller van, one of the songs we had thumping was Africa. Had the whole procession of people walking back to their cars singing it. After a GnR concert.

@tim Good Queen: News of the world less known songs. 3 through 10.
Spread Your Wings is the best song on that album.
As to the popularity of Don't Stop Believin', there was the final scene in The Sopranos, the song was featured in Monster and got a new audience with Rock of Ages.

i fucking hate Don't Stope Believing. With a passion
Spotify fucking loves Queen for some reason. It kept sticking it in my "made for you" playlists even though i never listen to them, and actively skip past most of the songs.

@mn5 I think the problem is that they are known for their hits but get behind the hits there is good stuff. So Walk of Life vs Wild West End by Knopfler. The first song makes me puke.
I’m probably not the guy to talk to as I’m not a Dire Straits fan ( although Knopfler is an amazing and unique guitarist ) but I get your point. Kind of a “Stairway to Heaven”, “Smoke on the Water”, “Epic” situation
