Did some time on 47 (SF) Sqn, hooning around in Hercs at low level. Did a night NVG trip, fucking terrifying in that lumbering beast.

I have sooo much love for hercs though.

Hell yeah - watchings those old dames touch down on a dirt airstrip nearly fucking anywhere and roll off some supplies? Magic.

I'll always remember being on one where we had to take off from the islands after a cyclone relief and the run way was too short so we had to reverse around a corner off the tarmac to try and get enough speed to take off after waiting all day for the temp to cool. Was really thrilling

Those are the bumblebees of the aviation world. We all know they can fly but we also know that logically they shouldn’t be able to.

    Technological Change

    Technological Change

Technological change underpins many of the developments we've seen in health, agriculture, energy, and global development.

    What's the top left one?

Also, the price changes in consumer goods in the US one sucks for education and health (basically all of the necessities TBF) but is cool for TV watching.

@jc Weird, I was just looking at the list of all their graphs, if I'd scrolled down just slightly I would have seen this one.

@taniwharugby he looks like he's about to kick off. Has a slurp at the ball, not to his liking, looks around to check security aren't watching then boomfas them all into the wall.

Moore's law (an economic rule of thumb about the lowest cost per translator being achieved at double the density every 18 or 24 months) has been dead for years. Completely, absolutely dead.
