i saw a video the other day of guys stand-up paddle boarding in teh 'glades. Gator floated over and i shat myself thinking i was watching a snuff film. The guy sort of pushed it away with his paddle and it agreed, and floated off
The salty would have eaten the board as well.

I reckon this is a real rabbit hole for Aucklanders of a certain age but interesting for anyone with more than a passing interest in the city's development.
