Connery and Moore both have done 7.
Though one of Connery's was an unofficial Bond movie..yeah, Moore "officially" did the most but pretty much the same
connery did his first 5 in 6 years though rather than 15 years for Craig
Roger Moores Bonds are better overall than Connerys…..but Connery is still the man.

I think Elba should have got the gig before now but is too old to start now.
Craig's Bond is Bond with a conscience. You could never portray him as Connery did and get away with it. Nor should you as part of populist fiction. As for accurately reflecting Flemings books. Yee Gods. What a strange man - serial loser and fantasist.
What's Bond's target audience? Middle aged white guys dragging their sons along to watch it?

@dogmeat thats actually where they took a misstep with craig...in my eyes anyway, he was nearly 40 when he got the job but he was supposed to be reasonably inexperienced, only just earning his licence to kill, couldn't help wondering if he had a career change
would have liked to see someone a decade younger with that approach
connery was only 32 and his Bond was already a force in the "biz"

Well the series is coming up 60 years old. Even more so if you count the books. They’re obviously doing something very right.
The Bond series is second only to Star Wars as my favourite of all time. Others like Aliens, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Dirty Harry, Dollars Trilogy, Blade and Back to the Future rank right up there too. ( even if most suffer from ever decreasing film quality )

I don't know how Bond isn't already Henry Cavill. Even The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was better than Bond movies.
