That now looks a possibility now that a resurrected John Snow has shed the coat of Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and is now going to head south to start getting some payback on what has happened to the Stark's. No doubt Ghost will go with him and they could meet up with Nymeria during their travel from the Wall to Winterfell leading an army of Wildlings.

One thing that may prevent that is Nymeria has gone completely feral and now leads a very large pack (100's) of normal wolves roaming various swaths of Westeros according to the Song of Ice and Fire Wiki.

And Summer is likely to stay north of the wall with Bran as he continues his "eductation" via flashbacks

Yeah, I'm a Song of Ice and Fire nerd.

Another filler episode. Yawn. Someone fucking do something. Anything. If Ronin is right, and this is a filler series, i will be mightily disappointed.

yeah the Dire wolves for all their reputation and size have done FA.

I guess if there is only another series after this, they need to start bringing some stories together (Sansa and Jon)
Don't most people still think Bran and Ricken are dead?

If so, for Ricken to be of any use to Ramsey, he will need to advertise the fact he has Ricken, Jon will surely find out, take his Wildling army to deal to Winterfell.

Have to assume Arya has a big role to play, but what exactly....
Was watching an episode of S3 I'd somehow missed last night and bugger me the kid who plays Tommen appeared as one of the captured Lannister cousins who are later killed by Karstark. How bloody lazy is that? But I guess no one seems to have noticed.

I fast forwarded through most of the Samwell scenes. Fark his girlfriend pisses me off.

Yep the direwolves have been pretty, ahem, dire. Robb's one never got a chance to go down fighting and Shaggy (who was supposed to be one of the most psychopathic wolves) now has his head on a hook. As mentioned, it's complete and utter bullshit that the Umbers would hand over a living Stark male to the Boltons

Could they fake shaggy's head? ie another direwolf from the north? Maybe there is more to the Umber trade than meets the eye..or maybe I'm just hopeful for something that doesn't just scream "quick, cut-off story-lines,we are running out of time!!!"

    Yeah after 6 years I can't stop watching now.

I really want that to be a fake Shaggy. It did look rather small. But the show is not nearly as subtle as the books so Shaggy is probably dead. If the Umbers were planning something it would also be an insane risk to deliver Rickon to Ramsay. If Ramsay goes all Reek on Rickon then that could be a tipping point for fans. Surely the show won't do that?

Jon still thinks they are dead doesn't he? Even in the books when Sam meets Bran and Rickon he doesn't tell him?

Ditto RS, a total tragic for both TV series and the books. I started watching GoT season 1 and after about 3 episodes I stopped watching and started reading and finished every book available before then completing the season 1.

I then re-read the books between seasons 4 and 5.

The TV Direwolves are much pussier than the book versions. In the books, Grey Wind, Rob's Direwolf, senses something is wrong at the Twins and rather than take a warning from that, Rob agrees to let Grey Wind be locked up. But when the the killing begins in the red wedding, Grety Wind makes a huge fuss and when soldiers are sent to kill him, he takes out at least one or two before being killed.

And before that, in the books, Grey Wind fights alongside Rob and kills many enemy soldiers.

You are correct, very few know that Bran and Rickon are still alive. And yes, Samwell was warned by Coldhands (a very "cool" character from the books who hasn't made it into the series) to not tell anyone that Bran is still alive including Jon Snow. Bran and Rickon had split up well before this time.

In fact, in the last book, Ser Davos, finds out that Rickon is still alive and is hiding on an Island, Skagos, and he sets off to find him as he thinks that the Bolton's still have Sansa and he feels they need a Stark boy to give them legitimacy and that the "North" will rally to their cause. The cause being that of Stannis Baratheon who is still alive in the books.

Actually Nepia, the people of the North aren't really turncoats as they have always been extremely loyal to the Starks. Obviously killing of the head of the Karstarks didn't engender Rob to that house but all the other houses with the exception of the Bolton's have always been with the Starks.

And to RS's point, there is no way the Umbers would side with Bolton as the head of the family, according to the books, is still being kept captive by Walder Frey after the red wedding. They may be being blackmailed into submission but are likely (or hopefully) to try to get back at Bolton at the first opportunity.

You know it... and don't make eye contact.

Actually should start a discussion with others familiar with Songs of Ice and Fire (the books) as to which characters and bits left out of the TV series should have been included.

And I will start by nominating Coldhands. An undead (wight?) persumed to be Nights Watchman who helps Sam and Gilly (+ baby) back to Castle Black when they are lost north of the wall and then guides Bran, Hodor, Meera and Jojen north of the wall to the meet the 3-eyed crow and the remaining children of the forest.

He is also responsible for killing the Nights Watch turncoats who mutinied against Lord Commander Marmot.

Although his identity is unknown and he keeps his face covered at all times, many believe he is the missing Stark uncle Benjen.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

    Yeah Coldhands was a very disappointing omission. Would be cool if he was Benjin, but that seems a little fanboish to me. But then again where tf is Benjin?

I'm hoping we see White Harbour because that chapter of the books was brilliant. But since Rickon is in Ramsey's hands and Stannis is dead then maybe it won't be. Perhaps the Umbers are playing the part of the Mandelays? Wishful thinking probably.

Just regarding the Umbers, its disappointing that the Greatjohn just disappeared (and apparently died). He's a great character.

<sup>
Nice arse shot of Dushku for jegga to fap over so that will be enjoyable for him. Will be interesting if Hood can save her in time though, pretty rookie mistake to sit in the car and be captured like that though. Again, everyone up in arms about the serial killer in a town where in two episodes a) a guy gets ripped in half by a truck b) a Neo Nazi gets killed and dismembered c) a chick sets herself on fire in a police station and d) there's another shootout in the country with multiple casualties but there y'go. Pretty obvious that Carrie was gonna have a big fight with that female cop who in typical Banshee style is another unarmed combat expert.

Only two episodes to go and there seems WAAAAAYYYYY too much to tie up. Proctor looks fucked although his nerves of steel when confronted by the Nazis and the severed head were pretty inspirational.

I have a feeling the serial killers will get their beans next episode and everyone else will get sorted in the finale ( surely a two hour special at least ??? )
</sup>
