@steven-harris 6.5 6.6 last time i saw him he had filled out to very solid that would have been a couple of months before he played ABs. he had also turned down playing for otago in the last few seasons

havent seen him play live in years . he likes to carrying and hits hard very physical , i would expect him to improve considerately from all blacks game where he had hardly been training wouldnt have been surprised if he had only been going to club training and stuff all else. one of those kids who just never got a break when younger will be very interested how he goes with a full time gig. -
@steven-harris Sam Slade and Charles Alaimalo should be targets, although both tend to play more backrow these days.
Fa'atiga Lemalu would be one of the better experienced options out there.

@kiwiwomble The sad thing is, there aren't many Magpies in the Hurricanes squad left, with also Gareth Evans moving back to the Landers.
Confirmed for the Canes are Pouri Rakete-Stones and Devan Flanders. Not sure Isaia Walker-Leawere has re-signed, and he is exactly one of the Magpies who could sign with MP.

ok, maybe its just me, i'll always support the Landers even when i dont rate the current squads and generally always have a soft spot for Otago players that have gone on elsewhere

@mikey07 I don't think so. His brother is a professional basketball player who plays for Melbourne United. So this may be a family-oriented choice.

A possible MP backline (based on where they've played before):
9 Enari
10 McClutchie
11/13/14 Fomai
12 Leali'ifano
13 Taefu? Fine Inise?
14/11/15 Visinia
15/12 Toala (don't think he's ever played at centre, but maybe he'd be great there)Not sure what Henry Taefu's preferred position is, 12 or 13.
Fine Inise is a wing/13, but I expect him to be lower in the pecking order than Fomai and Visinia.
