@mariner4life The Elite Squad movies are some of the best fascist action/crime films I've seen.

I could never find a decent subtitled version back in the acquiring movies on the internet days but the original landed on Amazon a week or so ago so it was added to my watchlist.

A new Narcos, cool!
New season of Dexter coming out next month after a decade or so hiatus, so be interesting to see how that goes, need to recapture the feel from S1 & 2!

Second call

For those watching Foundation, is it worth pushing on with (I've not read the books)
I've watched 2 eps, it is decent and I kinda wanna keep going to see the story unfold, but it is just not grabbing me yet.
-
The Outlaws
Dark comedy on BBC from Stephen Merchant
Excellent

I'm watching it. Liking it enough to keep watching but it's not outstanding.

Watched the first one yesterday, bloody good film. Weird seeing a younger version of the Pablo Escobar actor from Narcos actor.
Weirdly the sequel doesn't seem to be streaming in Oz.

Agree, I find myself a bit bored, which sucks because I really wanted to love it

@voodoo yeah well made undoubtedly, but slooooow and a bit happy clappy earnest.
It's joined the long list of things that I save to watch one day but never get around to
My viewing
25% bail after 20 minutes
25% give it 2-3 episodes and give up
15% never finish
25% finish and am a bit meh
15% really enjoyDon't watch a lot of TV. In the main it's a time filler until I go to bed with a good book.
Sport excluded of course. I can sit glued to a Test match for all 5 days

One of my favourite British comedies, hope you get to see the sex doll episode and the new satellite dish on the balcony - two of the funniest things I have ever seen on TV
Havent got there yet (supposedly have every episode) been some excellent eps so far, loved the one with the Great Dane!
Plenty of genuine laugh out loud moments!!

Those stats are pretty accurate to be honest. It’s so easy nowadays to give up on shows if they don’t grab your instantly. I’ll only hang onto slow burning ones if lots of people have said it’s worth a watch.
I also think nowadays it is so easy to intend to watch something down the line and just never get round to it unlike the old days when you had to be home at a certain time to watch something. Case in point my ex wife and I had a laugh about the ante natal classes we were supposed to attend before my first son was born in 2008 but they were on at the same time as Desperate Housewives which was a show we both enjoyed.
Fuck the classes, we were too lazy to figure out how to record it on demand so we never went.
Somehow my son survived and thrived.

Probably similar stats to me and sometimes the finished ones aren't at all what you thought you would watch.

There’s been too many times that I’ve finished something “just to see what happens at the end” and been massively disappointed and wondered why I bothered.
Most recent case of that is Glitch
Fuck you, you terrible load of utter shit.

It seems like you guys need better quality control. Most shows I start watching I have a decent idea I'm going to like them enough to finish the season. I usually watch stuff suggested by mates and on forums and then discuss with others about a show and can gauge whether it will suit me.
The big failing recently would obviously be Yellowstone.
I watched the HBO John Adams show too and didn't find it enthralling, but good enough to watch the whole, shortish, mini series. Not enough hip hop in it if for me.

You can’t have the Hop if you don’t have the Hip.
What’s Coolio doing these days ?
