G R R Martin does something similar. I think he uses Wordstar from back in the DOS days.

Think of the number of pages that would be!

in my first year of Uni (1996) i took a course called "Introduction to Computing" thinking it was going to teach me how to use a computer properly (a bit of word processing for Journalism in High School was about the extent of my experience)

It was a basic coding class (C++)

I was fucked because you had to use DOS to load everything and i didn't fucking know how to even do that!

I dropped that pretty fucking quick.

Not sure this is the right thread and it’s not even that recent but for point of reference this guy fought Ali, Foreman and Frasier and never hit the deck once against them, or anyone, in his career.

I always like it when sports stars shoot down smartass TV hosts.

Great vid! I had the great pleasure of seeing him when he was over here backing the Chillies . Sadly they had to practically carry the old bugger on stage and he was propped up between 2 guys for the whole set.

None of that matters though. I have seen James Brown 😁

He toured with the Chillies ?

Yeah that’s one I never ticked off the bucket list sadly. He woulda been exceptional.

Back in about 2004/5 from memory. A good 20% of his set was the announcer shouting out “let’s hear it for Mister Jaaaaaames Brown” over and over again. There was a third act of some Icelandic girl guitar group who were dogshit and got booed at every venue.

By that stage he woulda been living off reputation, nothing more.

Amazing entertainer in his prime though.
