With that many in the squad they could come back into NPC pretty banged up and bruised given the number of games they will probably now have to play. Much easier for the Magpies when all they ever did was train at the Hurricanes!

@tim Todays announcement Moli and Havilli cover the Hooker and outside back. Presuming they carry 38 as per the NZ teams. The rumors suggest Manu Paea is 3rd half back and Chris Apoua the final Prop.

@stargazer I'd see it more taking a punt on potential than scraping the bottom of the barrell...but yeah, expect there will be a number found wanting.

im also well aware that the Highlanders often carry several players who some would argue are NPC level at best, it will be really interesting to see how their first string players will gel

@kiwiwomble i am really hopeful they are competitive, i believe their first game is at home against the Brumbies at Mt Smart.
More than anything else i hope it inspires a group of young polynesian kids that they can earn a living and more important play for their country of orgin. -

@muddyriver yeah definetly ,In the Crusaders enviroment Chris would learn so much and could only improve big time.
