Baltimore's pick is in (OT Ronnie Stanley) and the 49ers are up next. Tunsil posted something stupid on his social media accounts so he will fall in the draft I guess (character issues).

Rams and Eagles probably overpaid for the 1st and 2nd picks. Not too many of their fans are liking the trade up.

One of my favorite players in the draft is Karl Joseph. Love his aggression and pop for his size. Might slip to the 2nd round because he's still recovering from an ACL injury.

I really like Myles Jack too. He might be the best player in the draft, but with his knee being described as a ticking time bomb, teams could be scared to draft him high.

Karl Joseph goes to the soon-to-be Las Vegas Raiders.

Excellent prospect. The guy was the PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Year last year and his Oregon defense was trash. He's the prototypical 3-4 defensive end, great measurables and has a serious motor. He can plug straight in on the opposite end to his teammate from Oregon Arik Armstead who was a 1st round pick last year. Both Chip Kelly and the new Defensive Line coach are from Oregon, they know Buckner well.

49ers also trade back into the 1st round to snag the best rated offensive guard in the draft - Joshua Garnett from Stanford. Chip Kelly wants to run the football and Garnett was the best graded run blocking interior offensive lineman in the draft and a likely target of the Seahawks at spot 31 who ended up taking a guard/tackle.

And with Denver drafting Paxton Lynch it appears CKap will have to stay in San Fran for now. Winning day for the 49ers.

Australia will be sweating in its jandals for the next few months leading up to the start of NFL 2016. The 49ers drafted Kelvin Taylor, Florida Uni running back, in the sixth round. He's the son of former Jags running back icon Fred Taylor, so pretty good genes. I doubt the Hayne Plane makes the final cut tbh.

Speaking of the Jags, they won this year's draft. They will have a killer defence next season. Kansas City and Seattle also drafted better than the rest. Seattle got QBs Adams (Oregon) and QB Boykins (TCU) as undrafted free agents.

49ers won the first day but made some strange picks later in the draft including QB Jeff Driskel.

I'm guessing you liked Boykins and Adams more than Driskel? From what i've read Driskel fits the Chip Kelly system perfectly and has some outstanding traits (size, arm) but he needs to be rebuilt after being mishandled at Florida. He's in a good spot to develop with 2 starters on the roster already (Kap, Gabbert).

I think the strangest pick for the 49ers was the 4th Round CB Robinson - barely played in college, stick-thin and character concerns.

To do what?

Or to play for Fiji at the Olympics in 7s rugby?

Heard is it Ryan on the Radio saying he wont be selected unless he is good enough, you have to wonder if some promises have been made if he is to turn down a decent pay cheque with the 49ers for a lifetime supply of Vonu Lager ;)

I never knew Hayne was Fijian. Doesn't look it.

He's hardly going to just walk into the team either.

Yeah and Hayne played for Fiji at the 08 Rugby League World Cup I think.

Seems like more of a face-saving transition rather than a burning desire for 7s, if it's truly the latter why has he left it so late.

He could come to the Warriors if they can cast off Hurrell and open some salary cap space! Though whomever can buy Hurrell would probably be better off just buying Hayne.

An Aussie drug administrator is pointing out Hayne is ineligible for 7s because the NFL is not drug testing compliant with rugby's Olympic requirements.

Hayne will come off the NRL in fucking good shape. But NFL shape. How is he going to get "7s fit" in a couple of months?

Is Hayne retiring from the NFL like me retiring from the All Blacks?
