It must just be bites. These guys cover themselves in zombie sludge all the time and aren't affected. Which is more than a little strange. As is the fact that they're already infected.

Isn't it just that everyone already has the virus and it's activated on death and that the zombie bites are lethal?

<sup>
Nice arse shot of Dushku for jegga to fap over so that will be enjoyable for him. Will be interesting if Hood can save her in time though, pretty rookie mistake to sit in the car and be captured like that though. Again, everyone up in arms about the serial killer in a town where in two episodes a) a guy gets ripped in half by a truck 🆒 a Neo Nazi gets killed and dismembered c) a chick sets herself on fire in a police station and d) there's another shootout in the country with multiple casualties but there y'go. Pretty obvious that Carrie was gonna have a big fight with that female cop who in typical Banshee style is another unarmed combat expert.

Only two episodes to go and there seems WAAAAAYYYYY too much to tie up. Proctor looks fucked although his nerves of steel when confronted by the Nazis and the severed head were pretty inspirational.

I have a feeling the serial killers will get their beans next episode and everyone else will get sorted in the finale ( surely a two hour special at least ??? )
</sup>

Such a shame the show is finishing, and that they couldn't even spring for a full 10 episodes. The ending is going to feel too rushed. The lack of gratuitous sex and nudity has not gone unnoticed. I mean where is all this?

I reckon they should have a new show starring Mila Kunis and Eliza Dushku. I don't care what they do as long as they do it together. Perhaps a minimum of one pillow fight per episode?

an awful lot to tidy up in the final episode of Banshee, although I guess they can lazily tie most of it up in one go if
Proctor and Calvin kill one another, leaving only Hood and Brock to sort their shit out. Assume with Calvin dead, Bunker can carry on bonking his wife, Job has loads of cash now.
shit no

Gotta have a Hood/Proctor showdown surely?
The show looks to be aiming for a proper ending. Hood and Carrie have realised that they need to be together.
Job has got himself back on track with lots of money to donate to the gang.
The Nazi thing will be a bloodbath. I gather the late appearance of a Senator in Proctor's pocket may provide an out to the Cartel situation.
The bad cop got her tits out briefly then died psycho style with Burton being Norman Bates so that storyline wrapped very quickly.
The serial killer got his.
What is left? Hood and Brock to reach an understanding. Burton to get his beans. Proctor to be put in his place. Hood and Carrie to settle down.
The outstanding bit will be the snippet thrown in a while back about Hood's past where he was some kind of black-ops.
well that's what I mean, with 1 ep to go, an awful lot to tie up, and easy/lazy out would be to have those others deal with one another, despite needing a more violent showdown.

Yeah seems they gave us glimpses of the past of both Hood and Burton, but haven't gone any further...kinda like they thought the series would run a bit longer?

It was their own decision to pull the show. They have stated that they wanted to tell a full story (I guess Hood/Carrie's story) and wrap it up. Didn't want to drift on for the sake of it.

I thought the Burton thing was self-explanatory. You don't need to know his backstory except that he is totally devoted to Proctor because Proctor saved his life.

I guess I was more thinking a bit more about how he became this tough as killing machine who can deal to so many hardened Nazi killers as the camera pans round the room, what lead to his torture etc.

The backstory about Hoods black ops shit is more I think to try to convince fans like MN5 that is why he is so god damned tough, whereas again, seems to have touched on some things but not bothered.

The Americans - watched the ep where Nadia was told of her fate, they dealt with that pretty quickly.

Well based on that you'd need backstories on damn near ALL the main characters who can take out multiple opponents without breaking a sweat. Proctor, Job, Bunker, Carrie, Cop chick, Chayton etc.

ha yeah...for a show that is fantastical and you switch off a lot of thinking, at times it seems they have tried to engage a bit of thought but chosen to not go that way for some reason or another.

I read an article awhile ago on shows/movies doing better when they are "realistic within their imaginary worlds" or some such shit. So in Star Wars we readily accept Jedi with powers, lightabres, blasters, travelling at light speed, Death Stars etc because in that world that makes sense. I think cos Banshee isn't a piss take it can be a bit hard to justify every single person fighting as well as they can ( not to mention never finding out Hoods identity, Proctor continually getting away with dodgy shit, Carrie NEVER getting caught or even hurt during her vigilante missions etc ), the bullshit needle got pushed to critical early on when Hood beat a much bigger, faster guy who happened to also be a UFC champion. As we all know in some episodes multiple people die and are never mentioned again yet as I said earlier the town freaks out at three chicks dying over a year. It's kinda losing it's own identity and it's confused as to what sort of show it's trying to be. If the government wanted to it could have easily sent Hood, Job and Carrie into the middle east with Sugar co-ordinating ( cos as an ex boxer bar owner he is just so qualified to do so ) and the threat of ISIS would be completely wiped out and they'd all have a congratulatory bottle of hard liquor to celebrate.

In saying all that it's still fucken compelling viewing.
