Trying really hard to get into Goliath S4.
S1 and S2 were excellent. S3 decided to go all weird in a True Detective 2 way now S4 continues in that vein.
Real pity as I think that the characters as per the first two series were great. I get that the producers didn't want to keep repeating themselves but this is a struggle watch.

Maid: Not the usual type of Fern show we discuss, but this was one of the best shows I've watched this year.
It's about a woman who escapes an abusive relationship with her child and gets a job as a lowly paid and poorly treated maid. It's not even an enjoyable watch for most of it's 10 episodes but it has some of the best, most natural performances I've ever seen.
Margaret Qually (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) plays the woman and I think it's one of the best performances I've ever seen. I fully believed she was the character and couldn't see the acting strings being pulled. Her Mum is played by Andie MacDowell (who is her real life Mum), she's one of those free spirit artists with mental health issues which is a role that could fall into cliche, but it doesn't. Most of the other actors are good too, including the partner who once I read his IMDB page I realised I'd watched him in stuff previously but had no idea it was him.
Worth a watch if you want to see something different from the usual fare.

Near the end of the series now and agree Qually did a great job. Didn't realise MacDowell was her real life mum. On MacDowell, I found her character incredibly annoying for a couple of episodes and disliked the scenes she was in.
Overall I enjoyed this, but I did have to ensure I didn't get too wound up in the way one aspect of DV was portrayed.

Gone for Good
One of those “ok we both might like the look of this” shows to watch with the Mrs. French subtitled and Nice looks like a delightful place, lead chick Judith/Nora is absolutely HAF too.
A bit coincidental and cliched at times but worth a watch overall I thought, loads of flashbacks but never confusing. Only five episodes so we nailed it in a couple of nights.

Me too, she was a clusterfuck, but I think that's exactly how we're supposed to feel about her.

Has some decent reviews, although I suspect probably mainly fans of the original movie hoping it captures some of the horror of the original and helps erase memories of the shitty sequels?

That looks so shit. Even as a kid I remember thinking how fucken stupid it was that people were afraid of a doll.
In saying that I might still watch it if there’s no other options.

Really fucken good, has that SOA / Animal Kingdom / Ballers / Friday Night Lights vibe. Only 3 seasons, I'm most of the way through S2 so don't know why it wasn't continued as I could keep watching and watching.
Melons aplenty too.
