    No Time To Die

Now most of you know I'm not a huge fan of Bond movies, but this one hit the right note for me. That note being the end of this run of Bond movies.

They should've killed it in Casino Royale.

    🤣

TBH, I assume you haven't watched it because you haven't mentioned how hot Ana De Armas was in it, or you're gay. Actually, scratch that, even a gay guy would recognise how hot she was in it.

Everyone knows Ana is in the movie. Pointing out Ana is hot is like saying the surface of the Sun is hot.

It would be more amusing if they explained how Bond villains came by their wealth. Something like invented a web browser, payment system, Tesla, online book store, etc.

I thought that was as much as a given as Ana is hot.

The only candidate for the next bond is Dan Stevens. Watch the great Bourne parody The Guest. He's so good in it.

I'll have to check that film out

He could make a great Bond Villain. And we'd know where he got his money from - Reggie Swire 😎

Okay - yeah... I just watched that.
Totally agreed - if Dan Stevens is NOT the new Bond, I'll cut some fluffybunny.
    The Guest
What a fucking bizarre movie... after 40 minutes I was sure I was watching the wrong thing... it was 100% a trashy 90's psychological thriller... a Down and Out in Beverly Hills vs Fatal Attraction.
    And then... completely changed lanes.
I said "What the actual fuck is going on?" out loud multiple times.
Edit: oh - tit-watch... 1 small one, side view.

    Attack Force Z (1981)

Started watching a 1981 movie about an oz based WW2 commando squad, Z force, with Mel Gibson and Sam Neil. Damn, why haven't I heard of this? Well after 14 minutes I'd say because the budget is tiny, the movie is awful, and the score is distractingly amateurish and cheesy.

I really wanted this to be good!

You missed watching it as a kid in the 80s when those things didn't matter as much and the video cover looked cool.

    Shang-chi

Enjoyed, epic fight scenes, seemed to set it up for something big, who is being called and why did it trigger?

Both good films. Apart from the dog.

A movie I've watched more times than the production value justifies. Mandatory viewing in one of my old units. It was permanently in the VCR.

Mrs Meldrew saw Last Christmas flicking thru Prime and as she's a sucker for Christmas, Mrs M convinced me to give it a go. Written and produced by Emma Thompson and loosely based on George Michael's music. What an utter pile of rancid horse crap and self-indulgent drivel.

Set in London, it's a really original story about someone finding love over Christmas. You'd think it's be hard to fuck up the feel-good aspects of that, but they did. The only white, male character who isn't gay, an east European refugee fighting to stay in the UK, a transsexual doctor or a Human rights lawyer is a skinhead who screams racist abuse on a tube train. Ironically he may have had the best lines or he was the only one trying to act...

If any suggests watching it, just fucking run.

Kids wanted to watch Home Alone last night. The original with McAuley Caulkin is still a classic and has aged really well. 5 lost gold teeth out of 5 thwarted wet bandits

That actually sounds pretty good. Last Christmas is the only Xmas carol I can actually stand listening to, George did some bangers in the day.

I kind of liked it, never pretended to be much more than a Xmasy musical and I like Emilia Clarke so all good
