i missed that, yeah, a point was made he was coming down to play 15....

@Yeetyaah yeah, didn't see much of the canterbury games so wasn't sure but thought if he'd come through injury free whether we might have thought he could keep building

think i would have gone with Freedom>Naholo>Timu

Timu was starting to look good last year but think hes been overseas this year hasn't he

I don't know about his distribution or defence, but with his size and speed, he could be an absolute weapon at 13. He has always reminded me of Folau, but has never got it together and challenged for the next level.

When you look at who will be playing Super their really aren't too many players that will add to and surpass our current AB XV. Maybe there are props that will demand selection and hopefully Clarke comes back strong to replace Bridge

There are always one or two unknown players that impress and begin to push for a spot. Perhaps not an unknown, as a I think some people here already rate him, but my prediction is Samipeni Finau to be knocking on the door of AB selection.

Waisaki Naholo didn't get picked up? I honestly though his reputation would have got him over the line

I thought the Landers said they were after him. He did sweet FA in the NPC this year tbf.

@yeetyaah There's a reason why wingers get given the boot in NZ in their mid to late 20s.......

Him not being wanted by any overseas clubs should have been a giveaway as to where his career is at.....

We’ve already got Reiko Ioane for that.

Never heard of him and he was not part of the Ta$man outfit that got flogged in their Shield Challenge. Can you give us a brief summation on why he should be, or what he has done to warrant being, included in a Super Rugby squad please?

                                @higgins Not really.

He's pretty much only made the bench for Ta$man with PPP being injured and Cirikadaveta being employed in the loose forwards.

Was part of the 23 who beat the Magpies in the rematch though. 🙂

So Super Rugby is looking like a 2 Round NZ based competition with MP included ,That would help with the toll on the players in another domestic comp.

Or Single Rd domestic comp with the hope a trans tasmen comp like last year can be squeezed in.

                                  Not ideal once again.

@kiwiwomble NZ travel restrictions until 30 April have been announced (or maybe, restrictions will be dropped as of 30 April). Double vaxxed covid negative Aussies (and others i assume) have to home quarantine for 7 days until then.

                                        No sporting exemptions yet. https://covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and-updates/latest-updates/reconnecting-new-zealand-the-next-steps/

                                        Apparently Australians aren't 'others eligible'.
