@mariner4life Yeah it drags TBH, I reckon a total re-write by Brandon Sanderson would be awesome!

Started Wheel of Time with the kids last night
For the first 70% of the first episode i thought it looked like every bad Fantasy show ever (The Seeker anyone? based on awesome books and it suuuuucked)
kicked right the fuck off after that
Note: I never read the books. Refused to start when it was never finished.
Having never really delved into D&D or fantasy novels (outside of LotR etc.) I tend to be last to these types of shows. GoT I only started watching after about four seasons because everyone was raving about it.

For sure, but 14 huge books is next level!
I think it is a requirement for fantasy authors, word count maximisation!

If you’d waited til season 5, you’d not have bothered haha

@mariner4life hes weird
yes, some of his stuff are really long series or multiple trilogies in the same universe with prequels and shit, different reading order lists etc
and then other stuff...normally the stuff i enjoy more are 3 books and no more like the "reckoners" series, popular apparenlty but he came out and said thats all he's doing...annoying

Watching 'The Great' with the wife, didnt seem like my thing when reading the synopsis, but is pretty good.
Very loosely based on the rise of Catherine the Great, some historical events, but otherwise is a bit of satire, some of it is pretty funny with some great characters!
Plenty of shagging (TW = 0 so far) and swears (on NEON in NZ)

We enjoy it too, funny, actually watching it right now

Finished The Morning Show and thought it was great. It’s full of actors I thought were lightweights but who’ve proved me wrong. I also assumed it would be very preachy left in its message but it doesn’t pull its punches on anybody. The thing I’ve come away with most strongly is that they may get paid $25m a year but who would ever want to live like that?

Started this last night and within eight minutes I stopped so the wife could watch it with me. Did not expect it to be this good.

@antipodean there are some genuinely funny parts and very good acting, always looking up what things are even loosely real and which are completely fictional

So I finished the full Only Fools and Horses series (have a couple of specials to watch, but looks like a couple are doco's so wont be rushing to watch)
So, so good!
Plenty of genuine laughs, and it is certainly different humour than many of todays comedy shows, alot more PG level.
@Nevorian my fave episode was the one where Del entered Rodney in the art competition and they won a trip to Mallorca, that was hilarious!!

Also finished this and was more than surprised. Initially I thought it would be a comedy given the cast. 10mins into the first episode and I was thinking this comedy sucks. Turned out to be a great story that isn't partisan in its exploration of issues. Well acted, well written.
I'm surprised to not see more talk of this show generally.
