Dreadful shot and an equally bad review by Nicholls. Shane Watson-esque.

harsh - he must have thought he got outside the line

Seeing it live I assumed he had to have edged it, otherwise he was toast.

    love the Watson reference.

    Just so we don't forget

Watson was such a dick @NTA

hey @NTA Watson or Marsh? You have to choose one

The review wasn't so bad. Umpires call. I wondered about outside the line.

I notice the commentator said the umpire made a good decision to give him out,

The same commentator would have had to say it was a good decision not to give him out also.

But he did say that it was a good decision to give him out 😉

Blundell just needs to be patient. Indian bowlers have lifted, but the bad balls will come.

He played a lot of tests for someone who was basically a more marketable version of Colin De Grandholme.

Re looking at the replay, that was very close to being completely outside off.

Calling that a bad review is very harsh indeed. I would argue it was a very good review.

When a batter reviews on the instant without even consulting their partner, my thinking is that they'd be wise to be certain they're well outside the line, or to have edged it. I'd be a lot happier if he'd chatted to Latham first and then reviewed. Otherwise Shane Watson and burning reviews will always come to mind.

Now Latham's concentration fails. Latham and Young set a great platform that the batsmen who followed are not building on...

Always good to see a test debutant off the mark first ball.

    Australian all rounders suck……

Apart from old school legends like Miller, Benaud and Davidson.

A lead looks an absolute mile away but if these two can be cautious and hang around things will get annoying for India.

Blundell looking safe as houses so far.

Waited til the end of his career to get a hundred, made it a double and then got dropped.

    my point stands.

Not well played by Rhacinda trying to play to point against the spin and leaving the gap ,instead of playing with the spin

Or a case of a world class Indian spinner getting out a rookie in Indian spinning conditions…..take your pick 😉

Get onto the front foot Jamieson against the spinners,
Use your height and reach to break up their length.

Loads of shots of people in the crowd eating popcorn.

I guess that’s pretty exciting when there’s no beer to be had.
