@kiwiwomble I think in the 1st movie they would use an experimental high warp ship to attack Romulus, and then in the 2nd they would be behind enemy lines with a one year low warp journey back to earth. Odyssey inspired.

Looks like NZ is not getting Discovery for a while

Star Trek: Discovery Is Lost to Most of the World Days Before Its Season 4 Premiere

In a shocking move, the hundreds of countries who watch Discovery on Netflix will now have no legal way to stream the show, or its new season.

@stockcar86 well that’s a way to turn off fans.

Looks like I’ll be using alternative means for Strange New Worlds early next year.

As for Disco, don’t care enough to source that.

Disappointed, I actually really like discovery…not going to get yet another streaming service though

    @Kiwiwomble, that is very frustrating.

Like you I have enjoyed the series (for the most part as some episodes have been excruciating to watch at times) and only recently finished Season 3 as I knew that Season 4 was approaching.

Ditto, don't want to get yet another streaming service as I have way, way too many already.

Netflix, Apple+, Disney+, Prime, Stan and now Kayo after recently ditching Foxtel after more than 15 years as a subscriber.

I have Paramount here in Oz, $5.95 for a year due to some glitch in their system. Haven't watched a thing on it yet.

I assume it will carry the Trek shows like in the US.

That's the one I have cautious hopes for.

Episodic, exploration stories. They showed Kirk has been cast for season 2 too.

@kiwiwomble Looks like a combination of them both. Will see how his acting is, and what stories they tell.

The look is good IMO, good uniforms and ships.

I like all three, the third might even be the best.

I just wish they would tone down the action and up the smarts. Tell a good story first, and let Star Wars be Star Wars.

@kirwan cant argue with the second point, a bit more balance wouldn't go astray

...might have to watch the third one again tonight (wife away)...cant remember specifics but remember not rating as high as the others...at least i remember them destroying the ship and thinking TNJ did that....a lot...i dont know why they kept being given them!
