Hazelwood brilliant. On target and Root had no where to go.

the best test bowler in the world. admit i am right -handed while flogging over the bloke, but don't mind changing to reverse left-handed milkmaid in a pinch.

it's incredible that the free-to-air Australian coverage was just a huge wank-a-thon of old boys rubbing themselves off. While Fox had the quiet guys who talked about the cricket

And then it all changed over with the move to Seven

      Ponting is brilliant.

Was a good vibe with Botham at the start of play, too.

Fox are desperate. They've painted themselves into a blokey, bogan corner. Falling subscribership and under threat from a streaming service next time around i reckon

Quite nice to see slip catches again after our recent diet of LBWs and bowleds.

It’s hard to hate aussie now with Cummins as skipper and Carey as keeper etc those guys are genuine good dudes that would fit right in with the Black Caps setup. Just sucks they’re with Warner and co

At 11/3 already, this series could make Mumbai look like an even contest.

We will see what happens when Australia bats. The pitch isn't going to dry out much in these conditions.

This English attack isn't exactly Cummins, Hazelwood and Starc.....

Some "light showers" on the radar.

Just tuned into tv coverage. Wow, if you're not going to bowl first on that one, then I guess you never will. It's dark greenish pitch.

                            Both captains would have batted.

I'd much rather a pitch like this than some road (i.e. what MCG has produced in recent years)

Aldo. I'm not saying the pitch has made England 150. I've been listening, not watching.

But it just looks like a bowl first.

Border said the same earlier, said it looked like some of the picthes in Shefield Shield which had a similar impact

The pitch hasn't played like a minefield though. Most England wickets were from loose shots and prods rather than balls swinging or jagging back off the seam.

I'm not saying we'll put on 500 but I think par is probably 250 or 300.

@barbarian looked to me like England stuggled to adjust to the bounce too.

Nice to see Green finally take a wicket. Helluva catch from Hoff as well.

I'll take 147. Lost our way a bit in the middle there and Pope looks like an active, compact player with a lot of potential.

David with a W and Stokes were just lack of concentation. Neither of those balls were hitting pegs. Burns won't step across again like that.
