Being a ranga is enough for @NTA and being overrated is enough for me. Seriously, Wisden have a sickening article on him every five minutes like he’s the second coming. Truth is he looks pretty good next to some pretty shithouse teammates but he’s currently the 15th best batsman and the 37th best bowler in the world.

I don't really see him as consistent enough at either discipline to be considered an all time great, in particular his bowling, but when he comes good he is bloody brilliant. As to the current stats, you need to take into account he's hardly played any first class cricket for God knows how long.

He might be a great bloke who knows but yeah the constant articles on him get so tiresome.
Definitely not an all time great but handy enough, Root aside he would be their most accomplished batsman but that’s not saying much.
