Who is the old guy Cobra Kai bring in? I don't recall him in the originals.
He was in III, so probably easily forgotten. A Vietnam buddy of Kreese's named Terry Silver.
Great character. He’ll be fun to watch again !
The actor who played him is only a year older than Ralph Macchio even though the character is at least 20 years older.

I see he was from the 3rd movie. I just watched the trailer and it didn't ring any bells. I mustn't have seen it. Weird because I always thought I had.

If anyone is watching the Expanse, each episode has a five minute short story as an extra. Episode 1's was about Jammer.
If's absolutely fucking buried, I had to pause the actual episode, press something called x-ray, then extras to see it listed anywhere. Awful UI.

@voodoo that's quite funny. It's on STV over here, who only have about 3-4 breaks but they just throw them in randomly, so most of the time a scene gets abruptly cut in half and takes up again after the break. Every show too.
Yeah, that's the same here. Mid-sentence often

Landscapers
Yeah mini series "about" Chris and Susan Edwards, who were convicted of the murder of her parents in 2014, 15 years after they shot and buried them.
Not sure eh, it's watchable and mildly entertaining, but pretty bizarrely told, which increases the further along you go. Quite sympathetic to the Edwards I thought too.

@bones I added that to my watch list last night...
Started watching Yellow Jackets (3 eps) intriguing, seems kinda Lord of the Flies, with mostly girls and then in the future.
Fawlty Towers, very un PC show that one, certainly made from a different time.

@taniwharugby yeah don't get me wrong I don't think you'd regret watching it but IMO you wouldn't be missing much either. Hard to explain. Probably worth watching for the bizarre style!

Ted Lasso...
I've been watching Season Two, with the awareness/warning from here that there might be two (?) turds in the dish...
It's made for an interesting watch... every episode, I'm waiting to see if "is this one"... and start getting suspicious when there's a hint of "wokeness" or some-such - because that seems to be a bit of a trigger for some.
But... just hit one. Fuck. Yeah... absolute turd from start-to-finish... and quite obviously filmed after the series finished. -
this could be awesome!
Time for a little R & R - Ramming and Rimming!
-
@taniwharugby was he the original MacGruber?
-
@taniwharugby he is! That's pretty funny, I knew watching last man on earth that I'd seen him before and couldn't pick where.

yes, I do remember that one

S2 of The Witcher
even though Mrs Womble wasn't keen i remembered she really enjoyed the first season so i put it on last night....she was playing on her phone but by half way through phone was down and she was asking questions etc, its a good show (assuming you like a bit of fantasy, swords and magic)
E1 successfully hits the tone i remember from the game, in that pretty much every quest has shades of grey, there are very few clearly good or evil choices

Good to see another season of this.
the witch who was all hunched and ugly and then got hot all of a sudden has a terrific rack, here’s hoping we see more of it in season 2.

And like a bit of hot cavil, I would imagine.
Just don't tell her he's a total Warhammer nerd

Finished the 2 seasons of The Office (UK) which I did like, but I reckon if I'd watched this first, I'd not have bothered with the US version, which was, IMO much better.
There are alot of similarities, but also where they have exaggerated (or softened) some characters
For me, the main reason is David Brent, he is a fluffybunny! Michael Scott is silly and naive, Brent is just a prick, who you just cringe at everything, whereas Scott usually means well, he just has no clue.
The Gareth/Dwight, for me, the latter is a much better character, seems to have a personality disorder that makes him act and behave the way he does, and is good at heart, whereas Gareth is just a bit of a tool...Gareth is a bit more of a lad, whereas Dwight is a bit quieter, but much more successful with the ladies.
Tim/Jim are fairly similar.
The US version focuses more on the whole office, whereas the UK one is more Brent, Gareth, Tim and a bit of Dawn and then the others.
