Fuck. That.
It hit 23 in Welly today according to the temp gauge in the car. People were passing out left, right and centre.

@mn5 it was the hottest place in NZ the other day I saw
It’s always the hottest place in New Zealand, just not temperature wise.

Apropos to nothing, but for some reason I really dislike Jimmy Anderson.
Not sure why.
I’m with you there. I think in my case it’s any fast bowler who overtakes Paddles but needs about 50 million more matches to do so.
Na hang on, I like McGrath and Walsh, that ain’t it.
I’m not sure why either.
It might be the old “he only gets wickets when it swings/has helpful conditions/seaming wicket stuff that has been spouted so often it’s almost become the perceived truth. Of course he gets tons more wickets in those circumstances but then again which bowler doesn’t get his best figures when conditions suit him?
Anderson is a dead set legend but he’s not my favourite England bowler, nor England’s best. But he’s been very good for a very long time.
Oh and he is a stroppy fucker.
Actually he’s probably alright, I’m being a bit rough…..this was pretty cool…..and to be fair he has improved as he’s gotten older which not many quick bowlers can say.
The first bit of this video always amuses me.
I think it’s just wanky biased Wisden articles about any Englishman that irk me, but then again the Bobs and Vagene crew think Tendulkar was better than Bradman so what’s the alternative ?

Not taking anything away from Labuschagne (except about 20 off his average), but Jeez he seems to be a fucking lucky fluffybunny!
Third big life in this innings - and I recall we gifted him a heap last time we were over there!

No real damage done. Labbers gone LBW. First LBW this series?

Finally the guy with the punchable face is out.
Question - if the fielding team reviews and it turns out to be a no ball, do they lose a review?

That is a good question. I think they would keep it based on the fact the front-foot tech is in play and it should have been called.

That's what I think should happen too. It would be unfair otherwise in my opinion.

I reckon that would be tough on the fielding team if that is the case. If the field umpires were calling the no balls in real time the fielding team wouldn't review when one is called.

That's a bit vague!

Apropos to my comment above - if all of Marnus' big lives in this innings were taken his 103 runs in this innings would have come at an average of 25.75 instead of 103.
