    Dishes. Wanking. Porn.

Obvious jokes all covered I see.

At least you didn’t Ed Sheran and break both arms, requiring the missus needing to wipe your arse.

    See, glass half full 🙂

Christ, I didn’t think I could hate Ed Sheeran anymore than I did but I stand corrected

A quiet one at my mums house in Tuakau. My sons at his mums house this year so we skyped him. Got one kid here, my sisters partners daughter. I set up the home made water slide that we bring out each summer so she and my sister are having fun. We always go to the cemetery where my dad is buried and my brothers ashes were put too. Sit around and have a beer with them. My cooking job I put my hand up for was a cooked breakfast.

Merry Christmas everyone! (or is that happy birthday to the Son based on my user handle...) We had 10 guests, and the wife put on another great spread. We host every 2-3 years, mostly to avoid having to drive to Ashburton.

Got my bike back from the workshop yesterday afternoon...
So 25th-Dec - I'm plotting a full day's riding, ending in Taranaki at grandfather's place, who ain't doing well.
And reading this thread, with the mentions of delicious food and drink - particularly drink - I suddenly realised I'm going to spend all day riding, then get to my destination - without being able to buy any delicious delicious beer. I'm going to have to pretend to be pleased to accept a Speights Dark, or Tui.
Have I mentioned previously "Fuck Tui" ?
I might grab a bottle of whisky this afternoon, tuck it in the backpack, so at least there's something delicious, if not necessarily exactly refreshing.
Christmas lunch is looking like a BP pie.

Go for Pepper steak at BP in bulls. I always have two…..as for beer, well I can’t help you there

Good call on the BP Bulls pie... but they only had 1.
I tried to get a second at BP Taumaranui, for comparison, but had to settle for some other bullshit

I hope you're having heated (fruit) mince pies with clotted cream, my Cornish Xmas fave!

Not with clotted cream - that's for the christmas pud. Mrs M's mince pies are divine on their own. She makes the mincemeat the year before and uses some almond flour in the pastry mix.

    Happy Christmas!

Just had Boxing Bacon Day lunch, basically everything that you can possibly wrap in bacon: polenta, prunes, sauasges, haloumi, etc - awesome! I'm still dizzy as fuck from vertigo, can't have all my Xmas beers, but I can at least enjoy bacon!

Scenic route. Rather long day in the end.
