Jamieson's bowling looks more like a poor man's Jacob Oram than the man of last season.

Southee also looks very laboured by his standards.

    Double “ouch” for this post.

I mean we all knew Jamiesons stats HAD to peter out a bit. No modern player in the games history has maintained that sort of average over any length of time. I say modern player because of all the guys ahead of him on the all time list SF Barnes retired most recently…..the only one last century in fact in 1914 with 189 wickets at 16.43. obviously batsmen scored fuck all in those days, part of the reason WG Grace is so revered despite averaging under 40.

Jamieson went into this match at 16.03 but is currently 17.42.

Wagner looks dangerous with the old ball for two overs so of course give the new ball to Southee who has taken bugger all wickets with his last 5 new balls.

Judging by the run rate it looks like Bangladesh are happy to bat us out of any chance of a result

On a pitch offering nothing it's hardly surprising Southee bowling 117 km/h with the new ball is not threatening.

This is Wagner time. Dead pitch, comfortable batters. Bring the rage

All out and a very painful lead of 130.

The batsmen better be ready to apply themselves

There is a path to victory here for NZ IMO. With a lead of 150+ and half a day to bowl if they can just take early wickets they could well do it. The lower order looks to be living up to their reputation.

We need to bat for four sessions to save this game, or rip through them with our bowlers, aka a miracle

A quick fire 400 from the caps today, then bowl ‘em out on the last day, simple stuff….

A their run rate they would need one and a half days.

NZ bowled terribly had so many DRS calls go against them (rightly, but they can just as easily go the other way) and the Bangles tail starts at 8. 400 becomes 150 very quick.

I've seen our 90s and 00s side back up a good first innings with a complete shocker many times.

Wickets huge for the Bangladeshi here. We need some big big partnerships

They coped with some really good bowling from Wagner in particular. Fair play, they've got better. Good for world cricket, not so good for us right now
