These rain delays are ridiculous.
Multiple breaks where the covers aren't even on for 5 minutes before they come back out.
Meanwhile you've got the vice captain playing on his home track doing whatever he can to get off the field and not to play.
You wouldn't know these guys are in the entertainment industry would you.

He was bowling well though and the ball was doing enough to make him indecisive quite a bit that over.

Definitely the discipline is better from Broad compared to yesterday and earlier today.
However, Smith was well set and it was well outside off stump. Hardly a snorter. The lateral bat movement as the ball was rising was in direct contrast to a few overs before. Broad's discipline may have contributed but IMHO Smith clearly lost concentration.

Stokes won't bowl again.
Anderson looks half shot. he's bowled nearly a quarter of the innings. Leach - just coming on - hasn't earned his keep in terms of giving the pace men a rest.

I haven't followed his journey too closely to know why he's often been in and out of the side, but with a test batting average of 42 and nine hundreds, I suspect that Usman would have been a lock in in the Black Caps top order for years.

Khawaja may not be the fastest between the wickets, but fuck he looks classy with the stick in hand. Patient & watchful, when he unleashes the cover drive it looks beautiful.

I said when he was young he was a clear talent that should end up playing test cricket. Admittedly I wasn't the only one - hardly climbed out on the ledge by my own... :face_with_tears_of_joy:
