Coogan has said that he had to think very long and hard about doing this. My guess is that the script is more about the coverup than the man character scum himself. In that respect it is good to publicise how this should never happen again.

Don't count on it. It's made by the BBC, Saville's employer, who knew about and covered up his abuse and rapes for nearly 2 decades.

Finally got round to watching Bridgerton with Mrs M.

Bit like Downton Abbey without the script-writing, acting, atmosphere, humour and entertainment-value. On the plus side, the BAME actors were at least given some of the better lines rather than the usual tick-box quota roles. Utterly dire stuff.

Good article on it's realism. Seems better than most series.

@bayimports i think im just sensitive, when working in the rail corridor we have to wear hard hats the whole time, very few exceptions, and thats with nothing around to actually hit your head on....and they get to take theirs off when there are bombs around! šŸ˜‰

I could only watch a few before it got too depressing.

    Ozark

Finished watching Pt 1 of S4, so only 7 more episodes to go whenever Pt 2 airs. This is one of the best Netflix shows in recent years. Julia Garner is just brilliant as Ruth.

    Manifest

Started as a very intriguing premise but rapidly turning to boring shit. I’m about to pull the pin.

If you had a shot for every time someone mentioned the word ā€œcallingā€ you’d die of alcohol poisoning.

@voodoo ah it was on my watchlist, but maybe I'll give it a miss.

Will stick to Scrubs for the time being.

I need to go back and start S2 again. I loved S1 but couldn't get into S2 so gave it away but by reports from those that stuck with it it improves again.

Yeah, every so often you get a programme where the bad shit is easy to see coming but it’s still hypnotising to watch. A great performance. The young female smackhead character is infuriatingly spot on too.
