I'm still not convinced that the Chiefs' travel schedule (which will be the same for the Highlanders) is harder than the travel schedule of the other NZ teams. Unless you only take into account the kms & not the duration of the tour and the opposition.

Chiefs: one easy game in SA (Kings), one in Argentina, back home (2 week tour)

Highlanders: same as Chiefs

Hurricanes: 2 games in SA (Lions, Sharks), back home (2 week tour)

Blues: 2 games in SA, one of them easy (Kings, Lions), one game in Oz (Force) (3 week tour)

Crusaders: 2 games in SA (Lions, Sharks), one game in Oz (Force) (3 week tour)

He's resigning every day for two years? Wow, he must really hate it there.

The circumstances are now quite different. The Chiefs had to face the Jaguares in their first ever home game in BA so the expectations were huge, and the crowd very vocal. Playing them now won't be such a difficult task.

Which is what everyone was doing. The Chiefs and Highlanders had/have to do a round-the-world trip (NZ->SA->Arg->NZ).

Looks like Tamanivalu out with an ankle sprain as well.

Chiefs midfield could be interesting with an ALB/Ngatai centre partnership

I'm not sure if the Highlanders will have to do the same but the Chiefs had to leave their hotel at 3am after the game in SA to get on their flight to Argentina then had to squeeze into a tiny domestic plane to get to their final destination.

Terrible buy. The word on the street with my is that it's all done and dusted for him to move to Toulon... Be trying to get out of that buy if I were them.

Up there with the Benji signing. If he can't make the Reds backline when Hunt is healthy, then he is going to find it even harder to make that loaded Toulon backline.

Their owner won't be scared to publicly blast Goromaru if he stinks it up.

Ta$man has signed Zac Guildford - I presume to give Hammer an All Black to sack. :)

Not a signing I am keen on, but apparently there are doubts that we will have either Lolohea or Lowe.

I was worried he may look overseas as I'm sceptical he will make the ABs due to his height and them wanting tall number 6's.

He's becoming my favourite Crusader, shows so much passion for the jersey. Despite the fact he isn't from the region.

Many Magpies fans on my Twitter feed are not happy about losing him.

If the Mako$ have done their home work on helping someone with a mental illness (like they seem to have done according to the article on Stuff) & ZG puts his best foot forward, he'll be a great asset for the Mako$. Because his off-field problems have overshadowed and influenced his on-field performance, I'm convinced a lot of people underestimate him as rugby player. When he's in the right head space and gets a bit more confidence, he'll do well.

I've never been a fan of him as a player, felt he was over rated, but I hope he has dealt with his off-field issues and can forge a decent career, still only about 27 isn't he?

Young fellas today get everything handed to them on a plate (in going straight form school into earning money playing rugby) it must be very easy to divert off the correct path without decent support.
