If that was rugby the TMO would still be looking at it.

        Niners playing really really well.

Stafford is going to have to make plays, and those vaunted Rams defenders are going to have to find something.

McVay might be one of the best HCs in the league and an fantastic staff builder (just look at the rapidly growing McVay tree and the success those guys have) but he is an awful game manager. Close game and he's out of timeouts with over 8 minutes remaining.

            Rough way to lose.

Jimmy G tries the SBW offload and it gets picked.

              Well that sucked.

Can't say i'm surprised though - you can only go so far when your offense is carried by one non-QB.

Hopefully Bengals win the whole thing.

                Another good game

Rams' big players were big in the last Qtr.

I actually like the Bengals in teh SB

Mahomes final 5 plays were sack, strip sack (recovered by an olineman), incomplete, incomplete, int.

The Bengals basically gave up the run, stopped sending everyone at the QB, and dropped men in to coverage. And they held their discipline, and the Chiefs had no answer

Because for some reason their play callers forgot about the run. They set the first half up with the. The Bengals were spread out, and they still never went back to it. Really strange coaching

                      How bout dem Rams 😎

Two fun games to watch. I think both teams will be feeling pretty confident about winning the big dance - Bengals defence on fire, Rams passing and running game superb. And no Brady factor!

That's been the criticism of Andy Reid basically his whole career. Genius offensive mind but he abandons the run in favour of the pass.

Am glad we will have a new QB win a ring.

Aaron Donald and Von Miller are going to have a field day against the Bengals o line. It'll be a bloodbath like last years superbowl.

Will cheer for the underdog Bengals.

"The Bengals are the first team to reach the Super Bowl with odds longer than 100-1 since the 1999 St. Louis Rams (150-1), according to SportsOddsHistory.com."

200-1 at the start of the season.

Isn't it great to watch a team that almost every week has 'experts' saying they are likely to lose yet keep winning. Even last week you would be pressed to find a pundit giving them a win. Plenty of platitudes for effort but not a lot of confidence.
I think they must be feeding off this and have a motivation to prove people wrong.
                            Keep it up.

*On Oct. 28, a bettor at Caesars Sportsbook in Michigan placed a $13,440 bet on the Bengals to win the Super Bowl at 35-1. According to the sportsbook, the same customer also put $13,000 on Cincinnati to claim the AFC crown at 16-1 and won $208,000 when the visiting Bengals rallied to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

                            .

BetMGM offered odds on the exact Super Bowl matchup in the preseason. A Bengals-Rams Super Bowl was listed at 500-1.*

For the first time in a while I won't be cheering for (or against) one team in the SB. May the best team win.

Will this be the youngest two head coaches to have been in the SB? McVay is 36 and Taylor is 38. They have a coaching connection too.

Josh McDaniels is the new head coach of the Raiders.

Will be interesting to see if he has learnt anything from his time in Denver a decade or so ago.

Patriots assistant coaches don't have the best record as head coaches but he's saying all the right things. Tough division but a solid team the Raiders have.

Will he make it to the start of the season? He bailed on the Colts a couple of years back and I"m kind of surprised the Raiders were willing to give him a shot. Mind you the Colts are probably pretty happy with how that worked out for them.

I wonder if there's anything in his contract if he makes a last minute decision to bail again. Although I don't know why I'm surprised; the NFL has repeatedly shown that they don't care about character if they think they will get a competitive advantage.

After a season where Flores probably exceeded expectations, or at least didn't do nearly as poorly as a bunch of coaches, he got the sack much to the surprise of many pundits.

                                    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33194862/brian-flores-sues-nfl-others-former-miami-dolphins-coach-alleges-racism-hiring-practices

I guess he has decided it's time to go nuclear. I guess it will slam the door on coaching in the NFL in the future

Once upon a time Bill Belichick bailed on the New York Jets job to take the Patriots job.

In a league that is searching for offensive playcallers to be their head coaches, McDaniels was always going to get another shot (look at the 4 head coaches in the two Championship Games last weekend).

Wow, not a single mention yet of - let alone a thread dedicated to - the undisputed GOAT Tom Brady. As an aside before I continue, I think in NFL the quarterback GOAT argument needs to be separated from the rest of the NFL GOAT because the position is so specialised, so important and so prominent and visible that it's almost unfair to expect the GOAT linebacker to be mentioned in the same conversations as Brady, Montana etc. It's a bit like where RL is going with the halves, and in AFL the increasing prominence of midfielders. But I digress.

So after the false start on Sunday morning (NZT) which I first became aware of on Fox Sports Radio with the host refering to it as 'Tom Brady Day', he's now officially pulled the pin overnight via Twitter. As a Pats and Brady fan I'm sad to see him go, but many won't be as he (and the Pats, certainly when he was there) were kind of in that 'I support Baltimore/Seattle/Dallas/etc and anyone playing Brady and the Pats' position. But I have one stand out memory and that's the SB comeback vs Atlanta. One of the greatest comebacks I've ever seen in any sport, and all the sweeter for all the grief and vitriol I was getting from mates via social media throughout the first three quarters!
