I know almost nothing about moonknight, yet another genre shift for Marvel, feels like a physcological thriller maybe, almost donny darko kind of vibe?
I do have a feeling from this like i had from eternals....i really dont see how they'll merge with the rest of the MCU
re your point about eternals @Nepia, other than my point just there about how it works with the rest, i think , my biggest issue was the reason for them not helping fight thanos, "we never interfere except when it involves deviants"...except all the stuff you do helping nudge the human race along...and if their end game was to grow the population so it was big enough for the celestial to feed...surely stopping half of them dying would have helped...and finally they went from not caring if half the world died to very much caring very quickly...like caring enough to try and kill each other
Vaguely a Marvel version of Batman.

@kiwiwomble the trailer seems focused on his “multiple personalities “ but when in super mode his abilities are about hand to hand combat and gadgets. He is meant to get stronger with moon phases though.
Just similarly to Batman. -
@kiwiwomble Yeah, I thought the premise that they've been around but didn't do anything was bloody stupid. I'd have preferred if they were just in their own universe. We can blame Fiege for that.
-
@nepia or that they went into hibernation after killing the last deviant...something
one of the interesting things about marvel though, for better or worse, they dont generally give up on a movie, they get in different director, tweek the direction and the sequel will probably be a success
-
I like the overall idea, the combined hero's do seem a little "light", but we've also already seen Hulk out of control, and then he got his hulk side under control, so theyre going to have to come up with a new reason for him to loose control and go to space

well shit...Patrick Stewart's Dr X showing up in the Dr Strange Trailer, also looked like the human torch, not only bring "the X-men" and "fantastic 4" into the MCU...but bringing at least the existing X-Men like they did with spiderman's

Sam Raini? No wonder it looks a little like Spiderman on ice tea lashed with hashish. I didn't realize, by the way, that he was interested in directing the Hobbit.
-
@kiwiwomble Was he in the trailer? I didn't notice him?
-
@hooroo you hear (1:18) him so no, not on screen. I guess he could be playing a different character but i think thats less likely given the premise of the film and what we saw in Spiderman
We see stange brought before a group of people, a panel, read rumor it may be the "illuminati" so the "smartest" people from each dimension?
-
I'm hoping that Moon Knight does well, and Marvel Studios starts developing some series for other more fringe characters. I'm sure you could create a pretty kickass Howard the Duck series, and there is a ton of source material for one of my favorite fun Marvel Characters - The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (see screenshot below)

@stockcar86 my biggest concern is how big its getting, all these heros....where were they when thanos turned up? kind of wish they had draw a line under the MCU after that and started again with the new heros

Just watched Infinity War for only the 2nd time
Hands down best comic book movie ever
A fucking triumph of planning to bring all those threads together. Marvel absolutely nailed it, and that level will be often copied but never met.
Thanos might be the best movie villain ever. Super powerful. Single minded. Some level of emotion. And you can almost empathise with his cause.
Just awesome

Why wouldn't you just still use Samuel L Jackson if made in the 90s? Dude looks the same now as then.
Less famous?
Not much less than now I'd think? SLJ was pretty famous in the 90s (Pulp Fiction etc) - I suspect the only time Keith David was more famous would have been the 80s?
