@kiwimurph man I hope the guy can stay uninjured (him and Goodhue in fact) he has such huge potential at this and possibly higher.

Concussion being the main worry with Robinson.

@chris yeah he suffered a nasty one last year in NPC pre-season, but cos he throws himself around so much (in the same mold as Norm Maxwell) its the other injuries he picks up too

I don't rate Segner that Highly,I have seen a fair bit of him playing.
I was more worried about losing Corey Kellow ,stoked we went for him over Segner,If it wasn't for Segner's story I think it would draw less attention to him.

I maybe proved wrong but Kellow will make more of an impact on NZ rugby IMO.

Pfffft, people are going way over the top with the Segner criticism. If we signed Kellow and Seger stayed down south, Kellow would be getting more criticism and Segner would be talked about as the far better prospect.

@chchfanatic did a good job in the off season on behalf of Crusaders rugby convincing everyone on here that Segner is an average prospect and Kellow is an AB in waiting when both haven't even played a super rugby game yet, yet Segner has virtually 2 seasons of NPC under his belt as well as being part of a championship winning Ta$man side in 2020.

@chris Yeah thats fine, and my opinion is that he's getting written off way too early when he's coming into a team that knows how to produce quality loose forwards.

Its a smart bit of business from the Blues imo who clearly see the potential in him.

What I don't get is that if Holland wanted to play Savea in the midfield he should have done it in pre-season.

What the f#ck is the point of pre-season, just a waste of time if the team structure doesn't resemble what's going to happen during the season proper.

Well said. It just shows they don't have any idea.

Making drastic changes to your team after week 1 means whatever plan you have you've already ditched. Are we not thinking ahead? Did they not trust their plan for the season?

It's stranger than that. The Canes backline last week looked very sharp at times. Surely that means that you then work on building that to be most of the time/all of the time rather than change it out.
As Isaid I amlooking forward to seeing Jules at 12 but I am alsonot sure it is needed. Or at least have PUJ at 13

Be interesting for the Blues fans to not have to worry about Gibson breaking during the match. Well, aside from the fact the Canes loose forward trio will improve when he's replaced.

Gibson and Prinsep come into the forward pack.
Kirifi and Flanders out of the starting 15 in the pack
Julian Savea and Goosen played last week.

JGB,Sullivan and Rayasi come into the backline amongst a confusing shuffle around.

Fuck that's a bizarre canes team, how many changes from last week?

5 changes to the run on side 2 injury enforced.Procter and the wild child at 7.

Isn't there 5 changes just in the backs? Only Booth and Barrett the same.

Gibson and Prinsep come into the forward pack.
Kirifi and Flanders out of the starting 15 in the pack
Julian Savea and Goosen played last week.

JGB,Sullivan and Rayasi come into the backline amongst a confusing shuffle around.

And have changed position. Note that word "change" 😁

Gee the Canes at $3.30 are a good shout.

We've picked a crap team but most of that Blues team didn't play NPC. I think it'll be a lot closer than $3.30

@foobanz I think the starting lineup may still prove stronger than last week. Thought Iose deserved a start at 8 though. Will be an interesting match up.
