    @act-crusader I saw Russ had 0 assists and 7 turnovers at the half....that's not so flash..

    I do feel for him - he's insanely frustrating the way he has just never learned to play within himself, to put away the 3-ball etc, but its also really hard to dislike a guy that plays with that much fire.

    I like Russ, but his play is an all or nothing style. He actually needs to be the man and have the shooters around him. The way he played with Beal for example in the second half of last season was pretty phenomenal. The way he played with PG and Melo and some half decent pieces in OKC was great also.

    I don’t agree with the “he hasn’t bought in” talk, I just think for him it was always going to be very hard to change his game when he was so dominant and then you’re in a system when you are potentially third wheel.

    Your last para. I just don't get how a bunch of seasoned vets, plus a front office and an ownership group, just don't talk openly about this stuff. How do they not plan for how it might work and decide if they want to go for it? It's really odd to me.

    @voodoo it’s LA and the bright lights. Pelinka seems more concerned about his fake tan than the hard stuff that Operations VPs have to do.

    The look on the faces of the coaching staff throughout todays game was bizarre as if they are shocked this would happen.

    @act-crusader maybe they thought the job was done after winning the bubble championship? LBJ seemed pretty happy with the team at the start of the season, so I can only assume the team was constructed with his input and or blessing. But it is so flawed; they sent the only spark guy away in Caruso and a good young player in Kuzma who had shown he can score before LBJ arrived and brought in a bunch of older guys. There is little option but to blow it up and start again

    astounding to hear the Lakers home crowd booing, and it was off an LBJ turnover as well

    Westbrick is the easy target. he's new. Big contract, and yes not playing well. Pea hearted Day to Davis never fucking plays, and when he does he's shit. LBJ is, as someone has already pointed out, basically playing for himself, and doing it poorly. Yep, getting his 30-odd a game, but turning it over a heap, and playing one way. The rest of the roster is old past it guys, or dudes who aren't good enough. The Lakers are done.

    And the general consensus among Lakers fans seems to be, LBJ is gone (don't fucking do it Cleveland) and they seem to say good riddance. They got their championship out of it, time to move on. Because without serious trades in the offseason next year isn't going to be any better.

    They are really lucky that the bottom of the West is pretty weak, or they would seriously be looking at an 11th place finish.

    @mariner4life I would consider getting rid of AD. He is too fragile and too passive to build a team around

    Ja Morant may not be Al Iverson (yet)
    But he's really fucking good at the basketballs. Today he detonated the Spurs for 50

    Including this evil dunk

    @act-crusader @mariner4life

    He's just lucky to have been on the end of 2 amazing passes from Adams, half the work was done for him...

    Adams is the real MVP

    That full court pass he did off a rebound a couple of games ago was sweet too. Richard Jefferson was talking it up and said “they don’t even play pro football in the country he’s from” 😉

    The van Gundy brothers love Adams and even find ways to talk about him when he’s not even in the game they are commentating!

    They don't play "pro football" on any other continent, Richard 'I Sound Like A Cartoon Middle-Aged White Guy' Jefferson

    Adams the newest point 5??

    The Nets lose again and are sliding to the play-in
    The Celtics are going the other way on teh back of an8-2 run, while Miami firms at the top on the back of 9-1. The East will be a bloodbath in the post season

    Lakers lose at home again
    The top of the West isn't moving much because every team has gone 8-2 off the last 10
    Every team that is, except the Warriors. Still smashed by injuries they are really battling, and the 3 seed is beckoning.

    @mariner4life Lakers blew that game against the Mavs. During their good run LBJ and Russ showed exactly how they could play together and take a game over. Then the jitters and pressure set in for the final 2-3 minutes and they couldn’t hit the side of a barn.

    Agree the East is going to be crazy fun, which is a big change from recent years when the first rounds are generally a foregone conclusion.

    The West’s 9-12 positions are going to be a mad finish. The Pelicans are actually worth watching now since they got CJ.

    Hmmmm....Book is now in Iso, so we played Portland yesterday without he and Paul. Luckily the Blazers are up to fuck all so we still won by about 30 and had six guys score between 12 and 20 points. Now 2-2 without Paul.

    Are the Clippers due to get George and Kawhi back for the playoffs. Because given how the rest of the squad are playing at the moment, they could do some damage

    @mariner4life it’s only the Lakers 😀

    Reggie Jackson on fire and add in the other very good pieces (Covington, Morris, Zubak, Mann, Hartenstein) plus PG and Leonard, they have depth

    @voodoo a Luka playing with purpose and focus is something to behold. The acquisition of Dimwiddie I think has really helped his game.

    They've gone all in on Luca-ball and the floor spacing (plus Dimwiddie's runing of the second unit) seems to be working. I don't think we have enough pieces to win this year, but could be a bad team to face in the playoffs. I'm interested in whether we can add some new pieces moving forward.
