Pieces of her. Mini series based on a Karin Slaughter novel. The unraveling of a Mother’s hidden past by her daughter.
I’m a little conflicted on this one. The story was enough to keep me watching all the way through but what I struggled with was there was not a single character that you warmed to. Mother played by the odd looking but still kind of attractive Toni Collette was just an annoying, self satisfied cow. Daughter was also odd looking but still attractive and just ineffectual. Gendry played the main antagonist with little magnetism.
All in all it was watchable but you kinda felt ashamed for feeling that way.
No tits.
3 where is this going nexts out of 5 shut the fuck up you stupid bitches.
Solid 4 for me

The annoying characters took it down at least a point for me. Was there one that you felt empathy with?

Borderline!

Our Flag Means Death - Pirate thing apparently a comedy.
I love Taika's sense of humour but Rhys fucking Darby? Why?
Half an episode in and I have ditched it. Darby is unwatchable.
I can't believe this guy has made a successful career overseas. Is there something that non NZers find funny about him that is just pure cringe to us?

@crucial might be a sense of humour.
He's about as funny as Leigh Hart so it can't be that.
Definitely is then. Old grumpy fluffybunnies don't like it? Funny

Just finished season 4 of The Last Kingdom - had no idea they were going beyond s3 tbh
It's a good watch. Kind of like Vikings-lite and I started it years ago because of the Bernard Cornwell books.
Season 5 dropping next week I'm told by Google
Been watching Season 5 and am 6 episodes in. Not bad and the fighting scenes remain pretty good. A few quibbles though. The CGI for the wider shots is laughable in some cases and the dialogue is often quite clunky. It seems to me that the further they stray from the source material the poorer the storyline becomes and they add unnecessary dialogue to explain what is going on. Disappointing but I will persevere.

Jeez never seen that happen before on an epic book series...

You need to work on your irony skills

@bones I finished last night, enjoyable series, most of the fight scenes you could give some latitude that they were believable, only one I thought was BS was the one in the house and the beat down he took the tyre iron from the weedy little dude...
Is Reacher meant to be on the spectrum? I liked his dead pan one liners but some made me wonder.
Good fun series. Just the thing for rainy afternoons in Cornwall.

So I’m watching Bosch on your recommendation and really enjoying it so far. The only issue I have is that every now and then I think I’m seeing bloody James Nesbitt.

@catogrande check out Goliath too if you haven't already.
