    @kiwipie Very similar format to the 1992 CWC format, which was probably my favourite.

    I think we're probably best off if India beats England to probably send them home and we end up with a dogfight vs the Windies, where we should have the better NRR, but they'll have a somewhat easier finish.

    I agree, good format. Simple.

    Not pools, with super pools, where you carry some points over, but only against other teams that came through, so the weird incentives are ... weird.

    The last over brain explosion vs WI and our capitulation against Aus mean we're up against it. Ideally win it all from here, but it looks like we may get through with one more narrow loss.

    @nzzp We've ended up in a little triangle with India and Windies - each beating another - but, we won the NRR in that triangle.

    2/3 should be enough, but it won't be easy. Botching that last over vs Windies has the pressure on.

    It's ironic that England have come closest to beating Australia so far despite their 0-3 record.

    Windies win the toss and batting first against Oz.

    Bloody cold day for it. If the aussies thought the Basin was a bit chilly the other day they'll be really feeling the southerly today.

    Ellyse Perry promptly has the Windies 4/2 with two wickets in two balls in the second over...

    West Indies 70/5. So basically this is a round robin series to see who has the best chance of beating Australia in the knockout games...

    To be fair they have lost three tight ones in a row.

    They've started batting like they plan to keep that perfect record! 🙂

    Yep, despite the three losses so far being close, today was the first time that England have looked genuinely sharp in the field. Looks a bit same old with the bat so far from the defending Champs, but they should still be good enough to win this one.

    @donsteppa Yeah.

    To be honest, I have them as slight favourites to beat us as well - which will likely put them on a path to scrape into the semis at our expense.
